USA vs. Mexico, World Cup qualifier

This game will be on Wednesday night at 6 pm on ESPN 2, I am a big US National team fan and this is always a very exciting and intense game. Both teams always seem to play w/ a huge chip on their shoulder, and it has turned into a pretty big rivalry. Will anybody else be watching?

Where is the game? Usually the winner is the home team in that matchup. Not to mention that breathing is a challenge at Aztec Stadium.

Even when its a home game in the US, half the time its seems like its still a Mexico crowd. Hopefully not in Columbus though. I will be watching for sure.

That is exactly why the game is scheduled for Columbus. Why play against Mexico in California, Texas, Miami, Chicago, Boston, or New York where the visiting team's fans would outnumber the home squad? The expected cold was another consideration.

The U.S. is also asking fans going to the game and just in general to wear red tomorrow to show support, so wear red tomorrow.

 

I like the U.S.'s chances in this game. The cold weather factor has gotten into the heads of Mexico so much that they showed up to Columbus two days earlier than they normally would have. Plus their confidence has to be low after losing to a weak Sweden team a couple weeks ago.

The red is an odd choice, since it's one of Mexico's colors, as well. Why not go with blue, since it would be obviously exclusively USA.

I'll be watching both games.
