2009-04-29 Pirates (Snell) at Brewers (Gallardo) 12:05 PM CDT [Brewers win, 1-0]

[3Putt]

If Villy is up I'm definitely not feeling better. Let's score 5 and let Julio pitch.

[Sheets4theHOF]

Fastball right down the middle (according to gameday) with 2 strikes. What are you looking for Corey?

Comon JJ break out here.

...darn hit it hard just at somebody.

[Mr QL]

this game makes me nervous

[SeriesFinale]

Oof, JJ.

(He's killing my fantasy team, too!)

Well, here we go.

[MillerParkSouth]

JJ might need to sit out this weekend if we're facing some righties. Give Counsell some starts and let JJ get his head on straight. this 9th inning is going to be absolutely terrifying, no matter who is out there. Although it's slightly more frightening with Villy.

[badgerfletch]

Any consideration for Stetter here? two lefties coming up - well I guess three if someone gets on

[Sheets4theHOF]

Villy officially in. I'm oddly not nervous about this inning.

I'm watching on MLB.TV - the second and third strikes to Corey were low. And JJ did smack the ball.

[pretendastronaut]

I remember when I used to be excited Villy was coming in. Let's go Villy.

[theavrock]

Can somebody explain to me why Villy is in right now? I don't get it.

[RobDeer 45]

Yeah, I agree sit Hardy against some righties here and rest him up. Good start Villy.

[SoCal Brew Crew Fan]

Focus Villy...you got this thing. No 0-2 meatballs please!!!

[PlayerHader]

I'd guess Hoffman can't go 3 days straight, especially coming off injury. Why even use him on Monday, then?

[dlk9s]

The second strike to Sanchez was awesome. Corkscrewed him down to one knee.

Yeah, I don't get this either. Hoffman can't go 3 days in a row? I thought he was healthy now.

Pretty much the only relief pitcher who didn't pitch yesterday besides Julio and you're not gonna put him in to close out a game. A bit of a dice roll, but you get a day of rest for an overworked bullpen if it works out.

[PlayerHader]

Looks like Villa's getting some room off the plate according to Gameday.

[saget]

VILLY!!!!! YO!!!!

Man do I wish this game was on TV.

[TSack27]

Never a doubt!

Wonder how far Yo has made it up the hated list on the Pirate forums today?

[theavrock]

BROOMS!!!!! After all the comments on the Pirates message board, this sweep is even sweeter.

[pretendastronaut]

According to Gameday that called second strike to LaRoche was the worst pitch he saw, nowhere close. I'll take it though! Thank you Villy! Back above .500!

[SoCal Brew Crew Fan]

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweep baby!!! Hey Buccos...Who's your Daddy?!?!?

My goodness, Yo with the effort of the year.

[mls4]

Wow another great game.

[Sheets4theHOF]

Way to go CV! Sweep! Over .500! 7 of 8! Yo is good at baseball!

[SeriesFinale]

Great inning by Villy, but I want to carry Yo on my shoulders

SWEEP! EAT IT, PITTSBURGH!
