Per Witrado:

Ryan Braun is back in left field after a day off and things look pretty normal beyond that with Alcides Escobar getting the call at short against Carlos Zambrano and the Cubs.

It's a tiny silver lining that I have the 2010 schedule to distract me from the present.

Zambrano looks extra hateable with the evil-twin-style mustache.

Hart has been a big fail tonight with his caught stealing, a throw that could be bested by a three year old and strikeout with runners on 1st and 3rd ahead of the count 3-1 while swinging at ball 4 on the 3-1 pitch.

Unfortunately for us, the 2009 Brewers have sort of turned into almost every other team's solution to their respective struggles.

But hey, one-hitter averted. Thanks, Yo.

Edit: and shutout averted! better yet.

Please hide the women, children and Gatorade machines...Mount Z is about to blow!!! Who says meaningless baseball can't be fun?
Here's hoping Piniella leaves him in for the 200 pitches or whatever he said in that recent sound bite.

Good comeback....good to see the Big Z out there snorting, spitting, and ready to scream at his teammates.....I love it!

I cant believe they have stuck with Yo this long......what was the point of sitting him a start if your going to push him past 100 pitches? I dont understand Macha!

I am a big fan of Escobar.....

Open question for all to discuss......why is Macha so loyal to Kendall? That guy kills me!
which guy? Both guys, perhaps? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Edit: The chat room is currently populated - just saying.

Kendall will TKO him if he takes him out of the lineup that's why.

It is time to shut Yo down for the year. There is no reason to kill his confidence (not to mention his arm) in these meaningless games where he hasn't pitched in weeks. Start the young kids for the rest of the year and get some player development going, that includes the bullpen arms. The arms on guys like Coffey, Weathers, etc. have to be hanging at this point. I know Macha is still trying to win and save his job, but there comes a point where winning and player development have about equal value, if not weighted more towards player development.
