How can they show this on TV and not have audio only? At least give us the TV feed...

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I should clarify that I'm hoping Gomez is in the 2-hole just to get more at bats. Putting your worst projected OBP at the top of the lineup would be pretty indefensible once the season starts.

I believe that the more time Gamel gets at 3B, the more he will show why some believe he will be a plus defender there. That was a really nice play.

I was always under the impression that most of Gamel's problems at 3B were throwing related. I thought he looked pretty good at 3B fielding last year.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I'm concerned that Gamel was out of the game by the 3rd inning... doesn't seem like you'd want to get Craig Counsell ST at-bats ahead of your top hitting prospect. BA & Rock didn't talk about it at all, but I hope Gamel's shoulder isn't a problem. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Ah, thanks sarge

EDIT: Uh, I definitely responded to sarge after he'd posted... not telepathically or anything. Not sure what happened.

TH just mentioned on Homer's show that Gamel took a bullet of his shin in this game. Said he stayed in AND made some nice plays. Wasn't sure if the liner was related to him leaving early.

It sure was nice to watch them on television tonight on MLB Network. Great to see a win and great to see Brewers baseball again!

Starting the year in Nashville is fine imo, since Macha loves McGehee (& Gamel would hardly play... just waste service time), but I'm concerned about his shoulder long(er)-term

Is it just me, or does Rickie look awesome? I heard Brian mention that he gained 10-15 lbs over the offseason? Seriously? He was already muscle bound to begin with!
Yeah, Haudricourt was just gushing about how he looked coming in to the start of spring training. Looks like he took his training and rehab very seriously in the off-season (as one would expect).

Prince commented in his dugout interview yesterday that Rickie was ready to go in December. It's awesome to see what a hard worker Weeks has been over his career.
