2011-05-07 Brewers (Gallardo) at Cardinals (Lohse) - [Brewers win, 4-0: Yo 8 IP, 1 hit]

Too many pitches to make it all the way. Gallardo needs to be pulled after 110-115 regardless of the situation.

I am guessing he gets 120ish. Not saying it is right but I feel like coaches go against convention when a pitcher has special outing going

Haudricourt is such a tool. He keeps posting on Twitter about the "nice game" that Yo has going.

Maybe we can return the favor with a CG shutout. **Knocking on everything that is made of wood I can find***

Gallardo has 92 pitches through 6 innings. He better not go the full 9 innings.

He's on pace for 135 pitches. He isn't going to make it if the Cardinals are patient. He needs quick outs and the Brewers need to win this game regardless of any individual accomplishments.

This should be Gallardo's last inning. Last time he went deep was against the Braves, and I don't know if it had anything to do with his struggles, since that game he has been off.

I know it'll hurt later, but I firmly believe you have to give the pitcher a chance to finish one.

It's always bothered me how 100 pitches is the end-all when determining pitcher fatigue. Pull him when it looks like he's laboring

this team is in no position to be worried about individual accomplishments. Our season is on the line this weekend, we need to get the W.

That's what my heart says, but there's way, way, way too much at risk. He will have more opportunities for a no-hitter in his career if he stays healthy, but if he winds up ineffective or on the DL from this, it is a huge loss. Plus, throwing a tired pitcher out there risks losing the game since it is only 1-0, and the Brewers really need to win this one.

Not even close. There are 130 games left. The season is never on the line in the first week of May. I know we're not in a position to be giving up wins, but let's not overreact here.

Just reached 100 pitches with only 1 out in the 7th ... RRR has to take him out after this inning. Or even during the inning if continues walking guys like he just did with Berkman.

Guys, he's not coming out until he's given up a hit. He still looks strong, no reason to pull him other than paranoia

Oh wow, what a play! I think Yo earned himself a chance to pitch the 8th. Now maybe the offense can sustain a rally and get him some rest?

Wow, so hard to take the guy out after he makes a defensive play like that. Just went from a chance for 110+ pitches through 7 to what, 103?, through 7 due to the great double play started by Yo. He'll get to start the 8th ... then we'll just go from there. A 120 CG is possible.
