This is true. It's just an auspicious start. Everything that's been in play has been hard hit so far. First inning yips against the Pirates isn't what I expected here today.

It has to do with hand motion on the particular kind of pitch. Painting strokes on the backside of an X suspended in front of you, as opposed to the front side, which would completely different stroke motion. Think Karate Kid, painting the fence. Edited August 14, 2011 by Anonymous
