Game #162! It doesn't feel like it at all. What happened to the 2 months where I stop caring about baseball because the Brewers are 15 games back?

Play this game like its game 7 of the World Series boys. Lock up the 2 seed and give me a chance to see game 5 at the Keg.

Jose Reyes hit a bunt single and left the game, his season is over at .33706

Braun, sitting at .33453, needs to go 5-5, 4-5, 4-4, 3-4 or 3-3 to win the title tonight.

Dear Mr. Braun,

You are good at playing baseball. Do not let the Mets' bush league antics go unpunished. Feel free to go 4-4 with a HR or 2.

Best,

JJKoestler

Darrin Sutton last night after Ryan Roberts walk off, 2 out grand slam down 3 in the bottom of the 10th:

"Ryan Roberts drive to deep left field, incredible! The Diamondbacks win it! Are you watching Milwaukee? Did you just see that?"

Yes, we were watching, I hope you will be watching us beat the Pirates tonight. Enjoy your flight to Milwaukee to start the postseason.

Hey, Daron, we remember you fondly too. Not that I don't understand how an epic moment calls for an epic call.

Well, Brewers, you know where you want to be and you know the most straightforward way to get there. 1-0 for Wednesday...and could you try to achieve that in under 4 hours? Some of us are trying to balance fan support with day jobs.

Love you,

hawing

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

This is the type of pitcher that scares me. For starters, he's a lefty so Morgan can't play. But moreso because he's young, has no tape really and his numbers don't appear to be that good. I always worry about these guys in a big way, at least it's not an MLB debut. I hope the bats come out roaring. Lets hope Greinke is sharp and we jump on them early.

We gotta win this one so I can let that stupid Dodger meltdown go.

Did you guys listen to Bob and Brian this morning?

Drew Olson took the blame for that comment by Sutton. During the inning he sent Darrin a text, saying something like: get that game over with so we can celebrate over here. So it was partially directed towards Drew.

BTW, Sutton still has good ties with Milwaukee. He does TV for our Milwaukee Panther Men's basketball games.

Another Prince side note:

He needs 2 hits to get up to .300 for the year.

He can go 2-4 and he'll be exactly .300. (171-570) No fractions of a point at all.

If he gets 5 ABs, he'll need 3 hits.

1-1, technically gets him .300, but it will be .299823. That's not .300 in my book.

It's should be a fun, exciting evening of baseball all the way around what with at least four other playoff-relevant games to keep clicking around to--I hope of course that Braunie and the Brew Crew make the last half of the D'backs game completely irrelevant.

So is it a given that they'll give Greinke a full game's start? Should I be rooting for a 4-run first inning so they take Greinke out?

My immediate thought was that it sounded like the infamous "we want the ball and we're going to score."

Does Greinke have a strict pitch count or is he just pitching 2 innings? I'd be nice if RR gives him 50 pitches and Greinke gets through 4 IP, which will only leave the 5th and 6th innings of a questionable pitcher (Saito-KRod-Ax to finish).

i feel like 50 pitches in 4 innings is fairly ambitious for Greinke...I can't remember the last time he was that efficient.

Not our game, but hundreds of several have turned out in ATL. I'm reminded I hate the "Chop". Let the Classy's in.
NO, no, no no, no, no, and a thousand more times no. I don't ever want to see the Cards in the playoffs again.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

It sounds like it will be a normal start for Greinke just on short rest.
I wouldn't say anything is set in stone yet. If they get out to a big enough early lead, I think he could be pulled after 2-3 innings. But if it's close, I would imagine he goes 5-6.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.
