It was a safety squeeze, Wolf just hit it too hard and towards the pitcher for Hairston to score

Absolutely no reason to stick with a starter this far into a playoff game. It worked out but Kottaras and Wolf should both be pinch hit for.

What? Wolf has been great. They have threatened once.

An average reliever is probably better against hitters than a starter on his third time through the order. We have 4 shut down relievers in the pen. This isn't the regular season where you have to manage for tomorrow or the day after. You have enough off days that any of you relievers should be able to pitch in practically every single game.

 

We had a great chance to tack on more runs. A pinch hitter would have obviously had a better chance to make a positive contribution for both Kottaras and Wolf.

not only does it give the Brewers a better chance of scoring but it puts the best D player on the field to protect a lead.

So Narveson or Estrada should have gotten the start because Wolf struggled in his first post season start... and now he gives up 2 runs in 5, so we has to be left in there, despite having 2 runners on.
