I am really getting sick of Paul Goldschmidt sitting a few days a week to get AB's for Lyle Overbay. Kirk Gibson is becoming public enemy #1 in my home.

I have both of them on the same team in a couple of leagues. I think Trout definitely will be up for the rest of the year and produce. Very tough to say with Harper.

Ha. I've been trying to trade for Goldschmidt while his price is low and hope he picks it up.

I personally think Harper will end up with a better year than Trout. I'm falling in the pile of his hype.

Okay, this is a long one.

I need advice on a possible trade I am working on.

The League: H2H (R HR RBI SB AVG OPS, W SV K ERA WHIP QS). A 6 year old 10 team full MLB keeper league. Can keep up to 8 players for next season (2013), 9 for 2014 and 10 for 2015. After that, it stays at 10. You can keep players forever. There is no minor league roster (ESPN league).

I have not won for 3 years but I believe I have positioned myself for prolonged success.

My keep-able players already on roster: Ryan Braun, Jacoby Ellsbury, Evan Longoria, Hanley Ramirez, Giancarlo Stanton, Buster Posey, Bryce Harper, Clayton Kershaw, Stephen Strasburg and Trevor Bauer.

I am deep in pitching: Kershaw, Stras, Garza, Romero, Morrow, Gio Gonzalez, Wainwright, McCarthy, Niemann and 5 legit closers.

Due to slow starts from some, my offense is struggling: Morales, Kendrick, Dee Gordon along with some of the above.

Plus injuries: Ellsbury and Quentin

..........

So here is the trade.

Ellsbury and Morrow/Waino/Garza/Gio

for

Mike Trout and an 11th round pick (3rd round after keeper selections)

I do have plenty of pitching to deal, but I need to ask for more, no? The big risk is Ellsbury's health and Trout's performance (especially for this year).

Does anyone project this deal to significantly help me for this year? How does the 5 year outlook appear? Anyone feel strongly one way or the other on this? I think I would be overpaying, especially for this years performance from Trout.

Now he's raking, so hopefully he will stay in the lineup 95% of the time.

I got Goldschmidt for Rafael Dolis, who I picked up on the waiver wire. I'm curious to see which of these 2 players will be dropped first.

So I did not make this deal. I already kind of regret it and will certainly regret over the next few years.

Same league, would you do this trade?

I receive: Chris Sale and Jose Reyes

I trade: Hanley Ramirez and Adam Wainwright

Thanks...

Need a little advice. At the all-star break we each pick a major league team and have control of any of their prospects until they reach 100 ab's or 50 ip's. It carries over to next year's draft then its done till next all-star break. I'm doing pretty horrible this year, so I think I will choose second. My question is, who do you think has a good farm system right now that might produce a few solid major leaguers by the end of the year or break spring training next? And guys that are already taken, like Bauer, don't count. Thanks

And if the player reaches 100 ab's or 50 ip's this year, they are not eligible for me to keep at the draft next year.

I play in an auction keeper league and was wondering what everyone thought about this trade:

Team A gets: Trout($7), ARod($17), & Brett Myers($0)

Team B gets: Hamilton($23) & Moustakas($0)

Keeper $$ is averaged between price paid and the upcoming year's book price.

Ex. - Hamilton cost $23 this year and next year he is listed at $37, then (23+37)/2= $30 keeper price.

Get TROUT if your thinking long term, that trade maybe doesn't help you a bunch this year because Hamilton is a monster but the age difference is too much to pass up. Do the deal.

I'm doing well in my free ESPN league with people who rarely update their rosters. In my rotation I have Greinke, Hanson, Dickey, Haren, Jackson, Fister, Gallardo, and Hellickson. My pitchers have given up 44 ER in 43 IP this week.

Alright, being that I am a Ben Sheets fanboy, I want to pick him up for his start this Sunday.

I'm in a 14 team mixed league - would you drop Travis Wood for him? There's a couple of big Braves fans in the league, so I kind of want to act quickly before someone grabs him.

Debating whether to offer McCutcheon and Fiers for Justin Upton and Verlander. It is a keeper league, 2 bats and 2 pitchers. Should I offer it? Is that even a fair offer?

I got offered Stanton, Alex Gordon, and Quintana for Hamilton & Gallardo in my keeper league. I have extra quality SP. Good deal?

I think that meets the classic 'getting the best player in the deal' protocol for you. Who is the Quintana you were offered? Jose of the White Sox?

You'd be selling high on McCutcheon & buying low on J. Upton. So in that sense I like it. Verlander is so dominant... I dunno, it's probably a fair offer... the other guy doesn't have to say yes.

No dice, he shot it down. Thanks for the input.

I got offered Hanley Ramirez and Jordan Zimmerman for McCutcheon and Fiers but turned it down the other day. I might see if that is still available. I have Trout and a decent line up, but another ace pitcher would make my starters look really good. Afraid of Fiers being shut down during the playoffs.

I have Lawrie coming off the DL and need to drop someone. My options are Lawrie, Dunn, Howard, McCann, or Lucroy. As of right now I am leaning toward Lawrie or McCann. Any input is appreciated. I'm pretty sure whoever I drop will get picked up. It's a daily league and it has been nice to have Lucroy to start when McCann has been out or off and vice versa.

edit: now looks like Lawrie is out for a while longer

I have Trumbo and he's just had a horrible last month. I've got him on my bench and could definitely use a better option. Upton, Rios, Hart, Beltran, Choo are just some of the OF options I have available. Do I dump Trumbo for one of these other guys?

Beltran for sure, I would probably do Upton as well. I've never been a fan of Trumbo but he had a great first half, so its a tough call all around. All the guys you mentioned and Trumbo seem pretty even.
