Fox sports girls?

This seems like a stupid thing they've started this year. Paying women to promote the Brewers? Sounds like a waste to me

 

As for this year's in-game reporter (Sophia Minnaert), I keep getting annoyed by her accent. She sounds so Fargo that I struggle to actually hear what is being said.

Sophia's role is completely inane and she is pretty much there because she is marginally attractive. As for the FSN girls... They don't seem to even bother pretending they have a purpose.

I don't see why they are necessary, or need to be on the FS Wisconsin payroll. But that's their problem I guess. They don't bother me really, I just find them to be pointless. Sophia being there just to handle twitter seems pointless to me too. But whatever I guess.

It seems like she's the new Trenni, but Trenni always did good interviews and just seemed to offer a lot more to the broadcast than twitter polls.

Trenni was/is a good reporter. None of the on-air personalities being discussed in this thread can say the same. They're completely irrelevant, and the sooner they go, the better.

The funny thing is FS Wisconsin was basically the last regional Fox Sports channel (if not the last) to get these girls. I know North has had them for a couple years.

 

And they wouldn't bother me that much if they didn't have commercial telling us to watch Brewers Live or Bucks Live or tell us when the game is on at least once every commercial break. I've never seen that many commercial with the FS North girls, so why don't you tone it down a little, FS Wisconsin.

 

As for Sophia. I could fit $500 worth of groceries in the bags under her eyes.

First off, I want to say thanks for not blasting my initial comment. "Paying women to promote the Brewers" could have been interpreted in a totally different way than I meant...was not trying to be sexist.

 

Glad others agree. While Sophia is attractive, and she seems to know much more about the nuances of the game than Telli (however it was spelled....I kept waiting for him to refer to "runs" as "points" given how he butchered basic terminology), her voice drives me crazy (in a bad way). A mild Midwestern accent can sound pleasant and joyful....but when someone sounds like they're intentionally over-doing an accent, it makes their IQ seem really low.

 

I didn't realize the Fox Sports girls were regional until the other night when I looked them up. It appears we are stuck with them ruining our commercial breaks for the entire season. They seem to have no purpose at all. I'd rather have the Brewers FSN promos than them.

They have them down here in STL as well. They came on last season, during Blues games they really promoted the concept. The original two they had were on the good side of foxy, they then replaced them with another two girls who were a bit down the ladder. I think they hoped the concept would take off like the UFC ring girls, but it really didn't. Sorry if this seems like I'm objectifying these women, but I think that being objectified is kinda their job description.

You might want to google her. Obviously you never watch the Golf Channel but I'm guessing after you see her you will tune in to Morning Drive. Holly is must see tv. She's also on the cover of this month's Golf Digest.
