Yeah, I seriously do get my groceries for 20-30% less than at someplace like Copps, Pick&Save or Sentry.

If that weren't enough, the sheer variety of goods offered at Woodman's far exceeds any of the stores Peavey mentions.

To keep this kind of on-topic (in the what's-bugging-you realm), I will say that I'm leery of produce and 'fresh' meat there (in our household we call Woodman's "home of the fruit fly"). I've also found things like fruit juice on shelf there that are past their "best by" date. But for many, many items, Woodman's is the place to go, even if shopping there is kind of manic sometimes.

I just watched the series finale of Life on Mars (the U.S. version). It was canceled after one season and in my opinion was the best new show in years. What a shame.

Normally when I go to Brewerfan.net it automatically has me logged in. However, sometimes for whatever reason, it doesn't automatically log me in. Not only that, but when it doesn't, it won't tell me until after I've already hammered out a posting. Then it tells me to log in and completely wipes out what I just typed. I guess I'll try to pay more attention to that. Also sometimes, if I'm posting a longer message, I'll copy everything before I post it, in case it gets deleted. It's still annoying that Yuku does not ask you to log in after you hit "Add Reply" instead of after you have already typed out your post. Or, if it's going to ask you to log in after you have typed out your posting, at least have something in place that preserves the posting.

It's easy... down in the far bottom right corner, there is a silhouette with a green dot next to it...click on that, and make yourself "offline". You will be signed out until you decide to turn chat on again. The same thing happens to me, quite often.

On ESPN a few minutes ago, the studio host said "The Rays traded Jason Hammel to the Rockies today" and I heard it as "The Rays traded Jason Hammel to Milwaukee today". For a moment there, I thought that Doug Melvin had acquired more bullpen help, which would help compensate for Riske's general suckiness so far. Disappointed.

Update: I had the root canal yesterday and have been in slightly less pain since then. I still have some swelling around my cheek bone. To boot, I had my grandfather's funeral this Saturday. The weekend was made much easier with Penicillin and Vicodin, even though the Penicillin gave me a slight rash, and also it was great to see the whole family together.

 

I saw the X-ray of my root; it looked like the "wriggly carrot" necklaces that Catholics sometimes wear. Oof.

Haha! I believe the "wriggly carrot" you are referring to is actually an italian horn. I'm half italian and wore one as a kid. Glad to hear you are feeling somewhat better though!

My 11 year old son was at Childrens' Hopital for about 3 days. He had an infection in his chin and it was all swollen, he looked like Jay Leno. They did some minor oral surgery and drained it out. 3 weeks and a couple of dentists appointments later they are telling us that he needs a root canal. They still have no idea what the cause of all this was, they are guessing that at some point he suffered some trauma to his mouth area. So, this is what he is doing next Wednesday (the day after his Birthday) . I hope it doesn't ruin his Easter Break.

After two days, it's gone from bugging me to driving me insane. There is an emergency exit sign or fire alarm with battery back-up in the apartment hallway, apparently the battery is dying because it is periodically chirping to draw attention to its battery problem. I have called the apartment office, but nothing has happened to fix it, this is the fourth day, with the chirps becoming more frequent. And because they are designed to alert you in an emergency, they are a particularly piercing chirp.

I got some trojan on my computer which changed my Facebook and Hotmail passwords, so now I can't get in them anymore. The "forgot your password?" function doesn't work because I've long since forgotten that info for Hotmail, and Facebook sends its reset information to my Hotmail.

 

So now I've had to set up a duplicate Facebook account and everyone is confused by it, no doubt writing to my hotmail account to ask me what's going on.

Not his play-by-play or anything, but I just watched the post-game and I swear he was blinking his eyes at a rate of 58 blinks/minute. It was annoying as heck. I couldn't concentrate on what he was saying since his eyes were going nuts. Maybe it's just an on-camera thing, but jeepers . . . .

I'm getting tired of baseball managers who decree that none of their players will be allowed to wear facial hair (Don Money, I'm looking in your direction). Nobody ever confused a baseball field for a charm school. These are adults.

The condition of the Miller Park seating bowl during last nights game. In particular, the 200 level behind home plate. The seats were filthy, like someone had poured dirt on them. Not just our seats, every one of them. We got to our seats a little more than an hour before the game. We watched as people started to file in. They all had the same look of disbelief on their face about the condition of their seats.

 

I seem to recall this same thing for the second home game of the year last year as well. The cleaning staff was still wiping down seats a half hour before the game. I don't ever seem to recall this at any other point of the season following a sell out. Even if the seats were not wiped down, I can't understand how they get so filthy. Every one of them! What were people doing on opening day? Eating dirt? Does this stuff constantly fall from the roof of Miller Park? I don't get it.

 

On top of that, about 4 seats down from mine was what appeared to be a very large thick area of dried puke that extended under one of the seats. I found it very hard to believe that this was not cleaned up before the start of the next game.

The seats were actually probably dirty from opening day clean-up.

 

I believe they use air hoses to push the garbage down the steps, out of the seats, and into the aisles to clean-up. This creates a lot of dust and pushes some garbage down from the upper deck to the 200 level.

 

I could be wrong - but that is my guess.
