no but he looks like he's afraid to make solid contact, hasn't taken a real big solid hack at anything like he used to any once in awhile, granted this is all off 2 at bats so it could be nothing

I get the bad feeling he may be shut down for a bit. Maybe he should take a week off. I hope this doesn't become a long-term issue.

Brewers bullpen has gone 9.1 innings the past two days, but with Gallardo at 53 pitches through 3 innings it looks like 3-plus additional innings are likely today.

I think Braun and Co need to sit down and decide if he is able to help the club at this point if he isn't confident swinging. Schaefer is already a better defender .. and if we are getting to the point that Logan is a comparable offensive option, Braun needs to shut it down and get some serious treatment on his thumb. DL him and bring up Gindl so we have some competent bats out there.

 

Of course, this is all subject to whether Braun is really having problems .. but there is no use playing him if he can't hold a baseball or swing a bat. We need him well.
