Trade with the Mets

The rate of returning to prior form after TJ is around 80% Wheeler was terrific last year. I could live with a Wheeler and Flores, as the two main pieces, along with say Ceciliani and Fulmer and add Sardinas and Broxton to the deal.

Lagares isn't good. Why would we want him??

Somebody has to play CF for Brewers. I'd prefer Ceceliani myself. He hits lefthanded and has raked in hitter friendly Las Vegas this year despite not doing a whole lot when called up earlier by Mets.

For Gomez?

I'd want a package of SS Gavin Cecchini (#5 prospect) and RHP Michael Fulmer (#7 prospect) for starters.

Unlocking, as I heard Gomez just made this one up to see the look on Wilmer Flores face. Carlos can be kind of insensitive at times...

Alright well...now what? He won't be a Met.

Indians? Orioles? Cardinals? (could the classies really handle that???).

Stay put for the rest of the season?

The #Brewers rejected the #Mets trade because of concerns over Wheeler"s physical and still plan to trade Gomez by Friday.

Seeing a tweet or two that the Indians are still interested in Gomez and have contacted the Brewers after the trade fell through.

Anyone have any ideas what we could expect from Cleveland (using the mets trade as a baseline I'd imagine).

Zimmer, Frazier, plus low-level pitching prospect? I would like to add Salazar to that but that seems to be a stretch.
