So what is up with Jennings?

Does this mean no QTC?

I think lefty arms are going to be big down the stretch.

Jennings sprained an ankle in yesterday's game. Doubt he'll go on the DL since the rosters expand in a couple days, but that is speculation. As for QTC, I don't think the Brewers would trust him to take Jennings' role in the pen. I think he'll still get called up, but I doubt he'll pitch in meaningful innings.

He has pitched well against lefties and righties this year but traditionally more of a loogy. Should slot into this bullpen nicely. Another lefty pitcher that the Rays did not want to tender a contract to.

This is a good pickup. I believe we retain his rights for 2019 as well. Got to believe QTC could be as good, but in this case better to go with a known thing. Hope they still call up QTC though unlikely with the 40 full.

Who is getting dfa'd to make room for cedeno? Orf? Wilkerson?

Wilkerson or lyles?

Since Lyles is on the major league team already and Counsell appears to have some confidence in him I imagine Lyles is here for the rest of the year. I don't think Wilkerson is good enough to keep a 40 man spot on the Brewers this winter so he is the one to go. Brooks isn't very good either but must be some reason they wanted to call him up yesterday.

To make room on 40-man for Cedeno, #Brewers outright INF Nate Orf to AAA Colorado Springs.

Mostly a LOOGY. RH Batters have hit .285 with a .366 OBP in his career (.224/.285 vs LH Hitters) although in the small sample of this year he's been better vs both RH & LH hitters
