I'm surprised to hear the Cubs will be flying out tonight. I wouldn't think post-midnight arrivals would be allowed at DCA.

Dennis Eckersley's 1992 AL MVP and AL CyYoung Season.

Which was like his 4th best season as a reliever.

In 1990 in 73 innings he allowed 2 homeruns, and walked..... 4 batters. That's ridiculous.

With a 1.34 FIP .614 WHIP and 600 ERA+

No way was Jesus getting a hit there...Leave him on the bench to gather himself. If someone says they need a day off for mental reasons, don't sue them in a high leverage at bat, with the game on the line.

That was just not smart.

[sarcasm]I’m sure we all know Aguilar’s mental state better than the guy who spends 8+ hours a day with him for half the year...[/sarcasm]

Well, again, he asked for the day off because he was mentally in need of a day off. Is that the best time to use him in that situation Mr. Snarkypants?

The bold part of your post was completely unnecessary. Completely.

Found their charter on Flight Aware — looks like they’re flying into Dulles, landing a little bit after 3 am. Then there’s a 45 minute drive into DC ... there’s gonna be a lot of bleary eyed Cubs tomorrow!

I wonder what cool team themed dress up resident hipster Maddon will come up with for the flight to 'keep 'em loose'...can't wait to see twitter pics!

I haven't bothered to read the other 30 pages, but Counsel deserves credit for managing a perfect game. He's left some things to be desired at times this season but he managed this one like a playoff. He wisely pulled the plug on Anderson when he didn't have his best stuff, despite the positive results.

It was meant in good fun only...

If I was looking for a confrontation with someone, I surely wouldn't start it out with "Mr. Snarkypants."

This is where it gets hard to judge what will offend someone here. It was meant as a light hearted joke, nothing more.
