2 guys on base, you have to get the BP up and working...

CC usually waits too damn long.

I get it, but I don't know who I trust to get those last 17 outs then. That is a lot of outs.

Obviously wanted a zero there bad. But on the bright side, we won the inning. Keep at it, O!

Oh God, Barnes is up.

Barnes has been nails against the Cardinals this year. Might be the only team he's owned this season.

7.1 scoreless, that is shocking. .043 BA, and he has pitched against them more than any team.

Coach Cooper always said don't chalk up a win in the 4th inning. Then he would go the parking lot and pound down a Blatz.

..and smoke a filterless Marlboro.

Can’t run to the bullpen early every night.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I’m good with Gio going till he gives up a base runner from here out. Get as much as you can but should not pitch with a runner on anymore tonight.

Watching Martinez play the outfield is pretty fun.

You remember. Yea, that was Coach Cooper, always a heater in his mouth. We wre only 12 so he wouldn't allow any smoking. He did leave a 5 gallon pale of Red Man in the dugout for us though.

Nice piece of hitting there by Perez. I know he gets a lot of crap here, but he's solid. He's never going to be a superstar, but as a super sub, you can do a heck of a lot worse.

As has been mentioned a LOT of times before, it isn't the super sub part of his game that bothers me, he is great in that role, it is the fact that he starts too much that bothers me.

On another note:

Martinez or Thames, who is the better Right fielder?
