Normally I'm 100% against sacrifice bunts but the Cubs would be smart to do it here.

I agree on all counts. And as we see, there's false assumptions people make on sac bunt (just bunt him over!) Well, it doesn't always work.

The Cubs are kinda proving that they are just as much of a playoff contender as the Brewers.

 

I never would have thought it this year, but it sure looks like the Cardinals are going to run away with the division. Gotta give a lot of credit to Shildt. Imagine how good they'd be if Goldschmidt was half the player they thought they were getting.

Unless Grandal said a magic word, that was a pretty weak hook by Timmons.

 

Made weirder by the fact that he gave Counsell plenty of leeway.

Grisham has a lot of nice intangibles that tell me he very well may be a good player one day. He's looking overmatched lately, though.

I picked up Darvish yesterday as a FA yesterday for my fantasy team figuring he would get a lot of K’s against the Brewers. He probably would have had 13 in 5 innings.
