Sounds like Yelich is done. Stearns doesn't get involved unless it's real bad news.

I guarantee there is no MRI machine in the clubhouse.

Counsell is busy managing the game. Who else is there to talk?

If the kneecap is broken they'd just need an xray.

Why in God's name do you have a billion different options in the pen if you're not even going to have one warming up when Junior is in his second inning and can't find the strike zone? It is a tie game in a pennant race in September, is it not?

I'll bet there isn't one of those in the clubhouse either

Not only that this happened in the 1st. He's had plenty of time to have been taken to a local hospital.

Well that was over 2 hours ago. I don't know where the closest hospital from Marlins park is, and I don't know how backed up they are (and a lot of modern parks do have X-Ray machines, FWIW) but 2 hours to get xrays and results isn't that outrageous.

No but X-rays could show broken knee cap. No reason to wait to tell us of status unless it’s bad. Pins and needles, season in all likelihood could be in the balance.
