Thanks Marlins! Nationals lose 5-3.

If we host the wildcard game that makes things a lot easier. They seem to be finding the Miller Park magic of former teams.

Well, that stunk. Starts with Moose guessing on strike 3. Just have to put the ball in play there.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Thank you Marlins! Also, if the score remains the same to end this game, I believe we are then +1 in the fabled run differential column

This actually makes me a bit sad. I liked the idea of us making the players in the red.

I definitely hear that, something about it seems very congruent with the team grinding their way to the postseason, expectations be damned

This is suddenly more interesting than you want.

That missed opportunity in the last of the 7th is looming large now.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Yeah, Peralta didn't pitch poorly. Arcia didn't pull his head up or anything. Just missed the ball completely. Odd.

So under-spoken thing with the Nationals:

They have a double header Tuesday and not only is that tough as is to play (often times teams split) they have zero off days remaining. So it is going to require them to run out a lot more bullpen arms they don’t really want to.

What is happening at Wrigley?

Cubs lead 2-1, last of 8th, runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 out.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
