NFL Playoffs Wild Card Weekend

What happened to Seattle's offense lately?

They really were not very good for a team that won 12 games. The first 6 games or so of the season they could have easily been 2-4. Wilson is holding that team up more than Rodgers is.

Not exactly excited about LAR. Seems like we get the hot Wild Card team. I wasn't all that impressed with Seattle this year though.

This is the same team that lost to the Jets. It's a team that, just when you think they've turned it around, they go and lay an ostrich sized egg. Goff will suck in the cold and Donald may not play. I'm just glad we won't have Tampa.

Rams offense stinks. they needed a pick 6 and a fumbled punt return otherwise they probably have less than 20 points.

So, this is the only LA game I’ve seen this year, but I’m reading this Rams offense like this: if we give Goff the Trubisky treatment, we can shut him down. They have some great receivers, and Akers is coming into his own as a back, but Goff can’t throw deep, especially with his hand in this condition. Am I missing anything?

I’d rather face the Rams 10/10 times over Tampa.

Yeah only downside here is if the WFT wins we miss out on them but Tampa has a good D and a much better O and QB than the Rams

I guess I don't see them as all that different but yes, if I had to pick, I'll take the Rams and let Tampa/New Orleans go at it.

Playing the Bears would be ideal :)

I was just looking at the stats to compare them, Tampa isn't far behind the Pack at all offensively and scores 7+ points more a game than LA. Defensively the Rams are better (#1 and Tampa #6) but not near 7 points a game better. And I fear an elite O more than an elite D, I don't see anyone shutting down our offense like we saw today. Our Achilles heal is getting overrun on D while our offense sputters for a few drives and that hasn't happened much and even less recently.

I flipped the game on and his scramble for a TD was the first play I saw. Thought he was dead and he somehow turned it into points.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

And now Heinicke is hurt?

Gutsy effort by Heinicke. Washington got way more than they could have hoped for from him tonight. They’ve got to be disappointed in their defense (perhaps their stats are a bit inflated by playing the NFC East six times...), but Tampa is pretty good on offense. They’ll be a tough out.

I'm not really worried about the Saints. I just don't think they can stop us from scoring enough.

That's kinda funny. My concern would be the exact opposite. Our offense may struggle a bit vs them, but I think Brees is really gonna struggle in the cold.

The Rams, Saints or Bears, if we play well, I don't think they can beat us. I think they need us to struggle or turn the ball over in order to lose at home to any of them.

The Buccs are the biggest threat...IMO. With all the targets they've got, but mainly with Brady being able to manage the cold and their front 4 is pretty damn effective without having to blitz. They can drop 7 and still get home.

The Packers are playing well on both sides of the ball though and I think the NFCCG will feature Brees and Rodgers in Lambeau!

Even at ~20% capacity, it's refreshing watching this Titan - Ravel playoff game with fans in the stands making a noticeable amount of noise...here's hoping next September we're debating whether stadiums should be 50% or packed on gameday

That was interesting or dumb. So under 5min to go leading by 4, 4th down and 2 about a 40yd field to go up 7 on the road and a score of 20-13. You go for it? Thats what Baltimore did. Play was flagged and kick a 50yd FG to go up 7.

Why in the world do you not take the points to go up a full TD where best the Titans do is tie the game and you just need a FG to beat late vs tie? Such a bail out. Sure argument will be made the 4th down was converted had the flag not been thrown, but it was offensive PI so is the reason it was converted because of the interference?

Two solid, but non-scary AFC teams out so far. Curious to see if the Browns can pull off an upset, or if the AFC is basically chalk this weekend save for 5 over 4.

I feel pretty confident with us against the Rams but it would still be nice to have the Saints out of the playoffs tonight.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I would rather the Saints win so they take care of the Bucs next week.
