only one minor league option is used per season, regardless of how many times a player is optioned to and from the minors over the course of a given season. an option is burned after a player spends 20 days on optional (not outright) assignment, with the clock starting opening day.

he was on the 7-day injured list from 4 - 25 june (hip flexor) and again on the injured list (injury unknown to this writer) from 15 - 30 july.

 

and if there still is a taxi squad, it's only on milwaukee road trips.

Seriously, what happened to Corey Ray, he isn't on the minor league IL but hasn't played in a month. Has he been traveling with the team?

Taylor went on the IL on August 21…….Ray’s last game for Nashville was August 18…….I wouldn’t be surprised if those 2 situations were related……but that is obviously just a guess.

 

He could be traveling with the team for road games …..’not sure what he would do for home games but they might not want him far away in case they needed him.

He would be practicing with the team though...so if anyone goes to the park early, see if you can spot him! If he is indeed on the travel team

Ray had a wrc+ of 117 in AAA. Not great but something I would rather see than JBJ right now.
