Seems like having a better ERA against the undisputed best team in baseball over that time period is a huge mark in his favor, not an asterisk on his performance (like Gleyber Torres hitting 90% of his HR against Baltimore exclusively).

 

He's been uncharacteristically good against the Dodgers, and probably uncharacteristically bad against some random team he's had a couple blow-ups against. Take out the outliers and he's the solid back-end low-4.00's ERA guy we should all expect him to be.
