Lotta teams got a lot better. Still believe brewers get a premier bat and another arm.

All the brewers moves are ones that are out of nowhere. What premier bat have we not been linked to? Hello Byron Buxton!

How do the Cubs get that for expensive and old Kimbrel, but we could never find a team to back up a dump truck for Hader?

Yeah kinda weird. Hader is far cheaper than Kimbrel too. White Sox really going for it I guess and were willing to dump guys that won't help right now.

Who says they haven't? We have no idea what other teams have offered for Hader. It is quite obvious that the Brewers have an extremely high value on him. All this deadline is proving is that when the time comes to deal Hader, regardless of how much control is left on him, they are going to get a nice return.

Reports out there the league isn't high on Madrigal. I could see it. High average but doesn't walk much and not much power. In a league of OPS he doesn't grade out as well. But if he develops power with age then he could be very good

Maybe the Brewers would rather keep one of the best late inning relievers in the game on their roster for their now-annual postseason push?

Kimbrel to the White Sox

Cubs getting Nick Madrigal and Codi Heuer from the White Sox. That is a very steep price indeed.

That is...a bummer

It has been well reported in prior years the Brewers had interest in trading Hader. Not sure that was as much the case this last offseason, but it had been in prior years.

In general 2B is a position that is consistently overlooked in MLB. Its why you can get a 3 win 2B like Wong at 3/$25M while paying $10M per year for the hope Garcia blooms into a 3 win outfielder.

Bryant to the Reds

Where did you see that?

I think i bit on a fake twitter thingy. Reportedly for Senzel and Aykiama.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

too many rumors....can't keep up
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006
