The article only listed 3 games when I posted it.

That’s good news, though. Hoping for a lot of ABC games when the schedule comes out (fingers crossed).

Yea, I saw that earlier and wondered what the other 2 games were. Weird ommision.

I think the Christmas Day game actually overlaps with a Packer game. The Bucks play at 1:30 and the Packers play at 3:30.

NBA games are only about 2 hours so not a huge deal. Get it started on time. Not sure if the Packers could push to 3:45 or so.

He proved he could adjust in the playoffs. ;)

But this is a good thing. He isn't a HOF coach, but a very good one. Maybe after a Giannis led string of championships he will be. :)

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Bud gets a 3 year extension.

I'm fine with that. The last group of new coach hires were less than inspirational. If you want to replace a coach that just won a championship you better have a homerun hire in your back pocket.

Yeah, I'm totally good with bud sticking around. I haven't been the biggest fan of his, but he showed in this playoff that he has learned from his past mistakes and learned how to adjust and set playoff rotations and squeeze more minutes from his best guys. Is he the best coach in the NBA? Unarguably, he's not. But we got to the top of the mountain with him, and it would be absolutely silly to make a change at this point

Ted Davis is announcing his retirement. It doesn't seem like he has been around as long as he did, but he has been doing this since 97-98. His replacement will be very interesting, but whomever it is has large shoes to fill.

With Paschke gone, game broadcasts will be completely different obviously.

He really never gets mentioned with the other milwaukee sports broadcasting legends, but should be.

Ted Davis is calling it quits as the radio voice of the Bucks.

Not really Bucks news and not really surprising news either but Ben Simmons wants out of Philadelphia.

I think he goes to Portland with a bunch of picks for Lillard. I think the salaries matchup for a trade like this to occur.

I am always a little skeptical when rich owners discuss operating in the red or how much money they lost going all in. What they don't mention is that maintaining championship level success and winning a championship also adds both intangible value and tangible value from sales and marketing to the franchise.

Sure there might be certain ways in certain years in which "on paper" they're operating in the red. But these guys aren't sustaining a handsome net worth from running unprofitable businesses. They're smart and they don't lose money.

In none of that am I suggesting that they should, or suggesting that the Bucks and Brewers owners aren't aggressive in spending to help their teams win.

To be fair, he does address that some:

"Um, well think of it this way, we (will) break even before the tax (laughs). … So the tax is real money. (The tax is) what we’re going to lose. You’ll make it up. You’ll make some of it up as you move along in the playoffs, obviously, and that factors in. You’re like, ‘Well look, I know I’m going to lose ‘X (amount of money),’ but if we get to the playoffs, it starts going down.’ But yeah, it’s real money for us. But at the end of the day, the goal is that you want to keep winning a championship, so you’re going to spend the money."

I guess I read this as, "We are spending more than we know we can take in, but we are banking on that risk being rewarded in the playoffs." Not much different than my company spending millions on new technology that we hope will payoff in the future; risk/reward.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

This is probably nothing. But this website is starting rumors that the bucks signed Alex Antetokounmpo. I think he probably just worked out with the team, which he doesn't need to be under contract to do so.

That’s neat. I don’t think Alex is really an NBA player … yet. He did not play much in Europe last year and was relegated to his club’s ‘B Team.’ I just don’t see him getting a roster spot unless it’s strictly to appease Giannis. Thanasis may be a fringe NBA player, but at least he was an All-Star in the top Greek League. A G-League deal for Alex (or a TW contract) seems far more likely.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with thanasis being like the 13th or 14th guy on the team. He can run around, he can rebound a bit, and he can dunk and stuff. He doesn't embarrass himself out there. We don't need to sign another brother just to keep g happy.

If nothing else it's a big attendance boost for their G-League team, and it's not like the roster spots there are super valuable.

I like Thanassis on the team. Plenty of games the Bucks open the half flat, so Thanassis is the guy you can throw in to be high-energy and hopefully lift the rest of the team up.
