Do we know where Logan Henderson is?

He underwent elbow surgery to insert a screw in his elbow back in mid-March, last update I received was that he hoped to be on the mound in a game in early to mid-July.

- RHP Bryce Milligan assigned to ACL Brewers Blue (he hasn't pitched since 2019, so I assume this assignment is for rehab work)

- RHP Brailin Rodriguez is listed as being ACL Brewers Blue's 60-day injured list
- INF Daniel Castillo placed on ACL Brewers Blue's 7-day injured list
- LHP Josh Shapiro is listed as being ACL Brewers Blue's 60-day injured list

I'm just going to comment on the notion of 16-18 yo's pursuing professional baseball dreams. If the first stop is the ACL after the DSL, many of these young men are moving from their families and their homes to the Dominican Republic. From there, they immerse themselves in the Southwest of Arizona. I want to acknowledge this journey and the separation from family as the ultimate sacrifice to pursue that dream. Talent is obviously a part of the package - if you have boatloads you are set up for better success. But, man, what a sacrifice and what a commitment. I wish them all the best in success and fulfillment.

RHP Bryce Milligan, 23 (24 in July) was drafted in the 19th round by Milwaukee in the 2019 draft out of Oklahoma City University, We never did learn the reason he missed all of the 2021 season, and even from the day he was drafted, Milligan remained one of the more anonymous players in the system, as we had found nary a feature article or highlight piece.

Milligan was very effective in his eight brief relief appearances with the Rocky Mountain Vibes in his rookie 2019 season, as evidenced at the player page link above.

Good luck to Bryce down the road. Doesn't mean it's the end, as evidenced today:

I remember the early season - the Good Days of Tietz. He was used, in the early weeks, as the bullpen arm in bases loaded jams. He excelled in those first two outings. Since then, he seemed to struggle with putting men on base. I wish him all the best in Arizona.

These are NOT the transactions which I signed up for:

- RHP Victor Castaneda to AA Biloxi's 7-day injured list

- RHP Luis Contreras to AA Biloxi's 7-day injured list
- RHP Justin Bullock to AA Biloxi's 7-day injured list

Woooof. Man. That's tough. Perhaps, Harold's ninth inning melt-down was indicative of an injury? That's a huge part of the reliable Biloxi pitching staff. Not getting easier for the Shuckers!

Edit to Add: This also explains Hasler and Vennarro being 'sent down'. They obviously needed some coverage down yonder.

Seems like most of the news I have posted has been negative so I’ll keep it short.  Carlos Rodriguez’ IL placement is due to an injury to his right leg, underwent season-ending surgery on Thursday according to his agent.  Can’t say if it’s ACL, achilles, etc.

Welcome back, Jean Carmona!

July 31, 2018:

The switch-hitting infielder, now 22 years old, was released by Baltimore in April. He had peaked at high-A in the Orioles' system.

His career numbers have been tepid, now at .243/.319/.373, with a poor ratio on the basepaths as well - 22 steals in 37 attempts, with minimal attempts in recent seasons.

His transactions log indicates the Brewers have assigned the Dominican Native to their DSL Brewers #1 squad. If so, perhaps that's for a brief "reset", we'll see.

From August 2021 -

It would appear the Carolina Mudcats have placed Alberis Ferrer on the 7 day IL (as of 6/9). Hopefully, the young man can heal up and get a bit of a season reset. Best of luck in that recovery, Alberis.

Spoke with OF Carlos Rodriguez today and he confirmed it was indeed season-ending surgery yesterday.  There is also a possibility that his 2023 season will be delayed as well, but he said he hopes to be 100% at some point during spring training.

What an unfortunate injury all the way around. I said it in my Minor Leage Report that day and, man, it stinks to have been ‘right’. Those non-contact injuries when athletes fall down with no contact (the camera angle was non-existent live - we only saw the aftermath as he was helped off the Diamond and into the dugout) typically mean: ACL, multiple ligaments, blown Achilles. He was playing SO well.

All this being said, at this time next year, he’ll still only be 22 yo. Plenty of time to regroup, come back stronger, and build his career.

Thanks for all the updates @ARobsBrewCrew. Truly appreciated. Send him our best, please. He was such a joy to watch this year.

Of course and will do!  It is even more disappointing knowing that Carlos is genuinely one of the most down to earth athletes I have ever met.  Always makes time for others whether it is media or fans.

- LHP Pablo Garabitos returned to Low-A Carolina from AAA Nashville
- RHP Raul Mendoza promoted from DSL Brewers-1 to ACL Brewers Blue

The promotion of Mendoza is not a surprise after he registered a 2.84 ERA in 19 DSL innings last year. He's 21 years old.

It will be Ryan Middendorf’s first opportunity in affiliated professional baseball. The 24-year old spent the past two seasons with the Schaumburg Boomers of the Frontier League.

Not just “at Night” anymore.
