I would be shocked if they put a second round tender on Lazard. He doesn't have great hands, isn't fast, and had 40 catches in 15 games with quite a few snaps. We didn't sign OBJ so we could make sure we saved $3.384 million in cap room to bring Lazard back next season? Lazard will never be more than what he is in my opinion so I don't see teams lining up to outbid us.

Like it or not, even marginal WRs have offseason value. Lazard probably isn't a 2, but he's likely a 3 most places. The Packers just paid their aging 3 $5.5 million last year, so I'd think they'll be fine paying Lazard $3.3 with no commitment or bonuses beyond that.

It is obviously subjective, but Lazard is probably the best blocking WR in the NFL. He'd probably be classified as a TE for a lot of other teams.

One of the arguments being made for Cooper Kupp being MVP was his blocking ability. If Kupp is being recognized even a little bit for his blocking I think that definitively makes him the best blocking WR in the NFL.

FWIW, PFF had Lazard as the #1 run-blocking WR in the NFL, among 108 WRs, since 2019.

If only he could be an excellent blocker while also catching about 100 more balls for 1500 more yards while he's at it.

Yeah I don't know what the point of saying that is. He's not as good at catching as Cooper Kupp? OK. Well a lot of #2/#3 WRs aren't as good as Cooper Kupp. For someone as good at WR as Lazard his, his run blocking is likely to extend his career. The Packers offense specifically asks for their WRs to block a lot; most of them not named Adams are enormous.

Huh? That's not how this works.

The argument is that Lazard has the best blocking SKILL in the NFL. It adds to his value. What does Kupp have to do with that? I mean, Adams is a good blocker as well. But just because those guys catch 140 balls doesn't mean they are BETTER blockers.

Report that Getsy has been offered Bears OC position. Interesting. Development.

Basically guarantees the Packers have to offer it to Getsy, opening up Steno to Denver.

Interesting choice without knowing what Rodgers and Adams will do. Does he want to work with Love or Fields?

Giants hiring Bills OC, Brian Daboll, as their next head coach.

Now word that the Packers are blocking Stenovich from interviewing for OC jobs. Seems that the writing may be on the wall that he'll be the choice to succeed Hackett. That likely means that Getsy is gone.

McDaniels to the raiders. Kind of surprised that they didn’t consider Their interim. I get it though you get your GM from the pats he is going to want to bring in his guy.

Substitute teacher be damned, the Raiders are making a huge mistake. In 99/100 scenarios that team would have imploded. He was very highly regarded around the league when they announced him as interim coach. Trying to way too cute and going with another big name retread. It will blow up in their face in predictable Raiders fashion.

Not watching but I thought this game would stink. Bengals had a nice run but I got the sense their path wasn't all that rough. Raiders and then the 1 seed that I felt was clearly worse than both the 2 and 3.

I have a weird feeling SF is going to win though
