I was going to ask if the defense is as bad as it sounds, but I perceive that it is.

...and it HURTS!  Come ON.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player celebrate a 2nd inning bloop single in May more than Payton Henry just did.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

It was a big hit against his former team.

Woodruff is just a guy. Sorry to say it but the whole two ace thing is up in smoke.

Nope. One of the highest BABIPS in baseball. Good underlying metrics. You don't throw out three whole years of ace-type work over 6 starts.

I mean in the grand scheme of things it really wasn’t that big of a hit, former team or not.

At least not to warrant full blown fist pumps down the line and screaming/hip thrusting after rounding first base.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

For a fringe major leaguer like Henry its a big hit.

I hope Adames can avoid the IL. Not really a fan of Brosseau playing any shortstop.

He wouldn't. Urias is playing shortstop right now, and I'm sure they would call up Turang if he does have to go on the IL.

Either way this lineup needs Adames in it

I can see why the Brewers gave up on Henry he has a noodle for an arm as a catcher.  I think Mo Vaughn could steal a base on him.

Brosseau can't hit or field. He should be in AAA regardless.

He came into the day with a .847 OPS in his limited plate appearances (37 PA).

Not just “at Night” anymore.

The last two games we faced good pitching. Today there is no excuse to be struggling against this guy. Yelich just grounded out on a meatball down the middle.

.757 career OPS, .847 so far this year. Hits lefties really well. He's a good backup option.
