JD Martinez is the guy we should trade for. He’s a free agent after the year and Boston will be happy to dump his contract. This consistent brutal offense against lefties needs to be addressed.

Well I hate to break it to you guys, but it looks like another lefty on the mound tomorrow. Glad it’s a day game. Go Crew.

I've got a weird feeling they're actually gonna hit Fried tomorrow. In the meantime, go Mets!

Two big gripes:

1. I absolutely hate playing the Braves. Always have.

2. Our issues against LH pitchers is almost comical at this point. If you are an opposing manager, why wouldn’t you just toss out every single lefty you have?

Not that it ended up mattering, but Rowdy almost made a huge mistake. He headed off towards the dugout for the pinch runner before touching first base. Someone caught it and made him go back and step on first.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

But I was told putting the ball in play is a good thing.  Just put ball in play as exit velocity doesn’t matter just put ball in play.

Can we fast forward to the trade deadline? I know they're going to give Cain every opportunity until then, and yet he still won't have a home run on the season and his OPS will be well below .500.

Release Cain. Bring Hiura back. Play Taylor in center. Cutch and Yelich split left and DH.

You definitely do not release Cain because at his worse he is a terrific locker room presence and a strong defender who can still run like the wind. But he definitely shouldn’t be starting as one of the worst qualified hitters in baseball.

I wouldn't mind giving David Dahl a look either, though he can't play center. Turang can, and you would assume he would be the callup if Adames has to go on the IL. Although, Hiura was absent from the Nashville lineup tonight. Maybe that means something?

Why?? He can't play anymore. He has no arm he can't hit and running like the wind was maybe 2016. He is a great guy no doubt but so am I. I don't deserve to be on the team either.
