You definitely do not release Cain because at his worse he is a terrific locker room presence and a strong defender who can still run like the wind. But he definitely shouldn’t be starting as one of the worst qualified hitters in baseball.

Lorenzo Cain is not a qualifier and almost certainly will not be at any point this year regardless of performance given his age.

How in the heck do you walk Dansby Swanson on 5 pitches????  Suter sucks I am hoping to never see him again as a Brewer after this season.

Suter does not "suck". He might not have the greatest stuff in the world, but he does not suck.

No, this is what he is at his best.  At his worst he's one of the worst players in baseball.

Release Cain. Bring Hiura back. Play Taylor in center. Cutch and Yelich split left and DH.

Your constant push for Hiura is comical, he's totally useless.

Lineup is greatly missing Adames and McCutchen.  At least seems like Cutch could be back tomorrow and they're optimistic on Adames.  Even so, some more spark would be welcome.

Take a moment to appreciate this web gem from Jonathan Davis tonight in Nashville:

He proceeded to hit a game-tying solo shot earlier in the game before this unbelievable play. Eat your heart out, Lorenzo! It's Jonny time!?

If rosters expanded to 40 in September, he'd be a call-up possibility. I think he only comes up if we have more injuries. but if things are so bad you need to call him up, why not call up Wiemer?

I'm saying this a little bit tongue in cheek but, on the other hand, Davis has truly been fantastic since returning from the COVID list. He's made several key plays. Had several key hits. This is another one of their plug and play veteran 2021 AAAA FA signings and he clearly has outperformed Corey Ray. Why wouldn't they call up Joey? As an obviously fairly huge fan of Wiemer, I'd say, Jonny Davis is clearly a better CF'er and he has done enough early to deserve consideration. Joey has played spot CF, but he's a corner OF'er all the way.

Sure, if what you want is a 5th outfielder, go ahead and bring up Davis, who is a 30 year-old AAAA player and has a career batting average of .171 in the majors.
And if you want someone to start on a playoff team, bring up the guy who's more likely to mash the ball. If the Brewers didn't want CF to be in Wiemer's repertoire, they wouldn't be giving him innings in CF. And be serious, he'll force his way onto the team next year at the latest. And they'll still have Yelich and Renfrow (arbi-eligible). If he's on that team, a lot of his games will be in CF.
