Well you never know with games in Pittsburgh, but Iike our chances going against the Pirates and Nats a lot better than I did against Philly, LA and SD. Now they still need to go out and beat those teams but I think we should do a bit better than the 3-11 we did in that stretch you are referring to.

Is there an NL Central team Brewer fans don't have an unshakable fear of? The Reds?

I guess I could care less about past failures. What matters to me is the talent this team has right now, relative to the rest of the league, right now. 2002 isn't going to help the Pirates this year.

I'm afraid of Pittsburgh, but we could probably play poorly and still take 2/4, which I'm sure all of us here would be more than happy with.

Nicely drawn up there. Another thing to keep me awake at night. Last year, they had that those 2 series against the Royals and Pirates where everyone thought they could make up some ground.

I really don't see that happening and I don't see a repeat of what you've drawn up here though if it happens, I'll blame it entirely on you.

Again, this means nothing, but thought I would update following Sunday's game.

However, if the Brewers and Turnbow blow a big lead in the 8th inning tomorrow, this will get a little eerie.

Hmm...this is interesting.

Sheets pitched both Saturday games in which the Brewers won by 9 runs, and the following four game series both will have taken place in the state of Pennsylvania.

well it was a full moon yesterday so that semi-explains the eerie-ness level of the similarities.

I said the same thing that this is mirroring that last cold streak we went on...granted it was genst much better teams though we will see tonight. GO CREW

Those are some freaky parallels.

I guess Soup will just have to pitch 8 innings tonight and hand the ball to Spurling in a blowout to make sure 'bow doesn't pitch. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Bill Hall owns the Reds http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif ... I don't necessarily fear Houston, although I do fear Carlos Lee hitting HR's against us, lol.

Pittsburgh is truly the only NL Central team that I am afraid to face... and I know it's extremely unfounded.

These parallels are fairly ridiculous, but they're bound to end sometime, otherwise we'll be caught in a vicious neverending loop that eventually results in a tear in the space-time continuum and the irreversible implosion of the universe. So this is a must-win game.

A 7 run lead is now there for the blowing http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif

Eh, thought I'd just update it again...it's a bit of a reach as we lost the first three in Philly and won the last game, and this time we won the first and lost the last three.

Can we put a lock on this thread?

Just kidding...kind of. This is all very interesting, but I think we would all agree (including the author of the thread) that maybe we'll see an effect of locking the thread if we do so and we can reverse the curse it might have brought upon us!

Anyone else with me on that one?
