How do they give Gomes a hit on that?  Tough play but Adames needs to make that throw.

I've seen a lot of 'hits' this year that should have been errors.

He had to make sort of a sliding stop, so if he doesn’t field it clean I get it.  Once you field it, then just short hop the throw, that’s an error.  Home scorer I guess?

Our defense is not good this year

These are fairly routine plays for MLB

We gifted the dreadful Cubs a run

Why can’t we play defense well anymore?

Alexander deserves better

A lot of it is Wong tbh. Wong has been brutal this year from purely the eye test. Will have to check into it more though

Time for the offense to answer back.

After the 19 run outburst the offense has been less than stellar.

Fortunate to get 2 wins with little run production.

Except for runs aided by a free runner and an intentional walk it might take the Brewers 6 games to score 19 more.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Defensive stats absolutely support the eye test on Wong. Last year he finished with 6 DRS and so far this year he is at -4. His UZR/ 150 last year was 5.6 (and 5.4 for his career), this year he is at -5.1. So anyway you slice his defense is about 10 runs worse than last year which is pretty big.

Peterson has to eat into Wong's playing time moving forward, with Urias going to 2B. Peterson has been right up there with Hayes and Arenado defensively at 3B.....

How is we are in the 6th inning with our starter still going, and the opposing manager had his bullpen warming in the 2nd, yet we are losing?

There’s a flash flood warning in the area.

Im not sure if it’s for rain or Cubs runs.

We're going to need better options than Alexander, Stearns...

20 years ago Alexander might have been able to get by but with the way hitting mechanics have changed  sinker ballers are now dinosaurs.

Go get Martin Perez, I beg of you. We don't need aces thankfully, but we need someone better than Alexander. Even last deadline, we were reportedly in on Scherzer, so there's some hope...
