This Brewers regular season kinda feels like the Bucks regular season. Little intensity just kinda ho hum. Win a few lose a few see you in the playoffs except Brewers probably don't get past round one.

Our regular defensive infield alignment going forward needs to be: Tellez 1B, Urias 2B, Adames SS, Peterson 3B. That's a good defensive infield, other than Tellez at 1B....

We don't need aces thankfully, but we need someone better than Alexander. Even last deadline, we were reportedly in on Scherzer, so there's some hope...

How about a guy who was an All-Star last year?

Oh I know. But we're looking at mid to late August with Freddy. I want some more insurance in the rotation for now, especially with Houser stinking up the joint lately. This club needs good starting pitching to give the offense a chance.

I know the defense was horrible in this game……but the fact that they don’t think Small is a better choice then Alexander is certainly troubling.

Alexander just has no business starting for a playoff team…..his stuff just isn’t good enough.

Our starting pitching overall has been pretty bad…..other then Burnes….Woody his last 2 starts and Lauer in April and May.

Certainly one of the worst games of the season overall.

Not really just Woody's last two starts. He's been good on the season, as shown by his peripherals. The results just weren't quite there in the early going largely due to his initial blowup start in Chicago. Burnes is the best (healthy) starter in baseball, Woody is Top 10, and Freddy is top 25. Lauer is a solid 4. We do need someone to step up though right now due to Freddy and Houser being injured. I would like to see what we can get outside the organization.

Well I've gotta retire tonight. Will keep watching, but can't post here. Gotta go work on an experimental nuclear reactor tomorrow

Even 3 gift base runners are not enough to push across a run.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Alexander is a distant fourth for issues tonight behind garbage defense, CC letting him face a lefty then lifting him for Suter, and the offense seeking out ways not to score.

I don’t know about the peripherals, but Woodruff had more bad outings early in the season than just the one against the Cubs. He wasn’t covering a lot of innings, including short starts in which he gave up 4 and 5 earned runs against the Pirates and Reds.

Hopefully these last two starts are more indicative of what he’s going to do going forward

If you're talking liquid fluorine thorium reactor, then no. I'm based in toroidal fusion reactors. Don't care much about any fission reactors. I don't much believe in LFTR, moreso lead-based fission reactors. Fusion is the future though!

I am more interested in LFTRs as a way to burn up the mountain of spent fuel rods. How far away do you believe we are from sustainable Fusion?

Very interesting take. So my senior design was working on the LBE reactor which was actually bought by a firm I believe, so you are welcome UW-Madison. Fusion is a very necessary option. From sustainable fusion, we can likely achieve it now, to an extent. The thing holding back is the plasma boundary conditions, which was another project I had done last semester. If there were enough investment, sustainable fusion would be done significantly more soon.

Yes, he had more bad outings than just the one against the Cubs. But the Cubs one where he gave up 7 runs in 3 2/3 innings really set him back as far as his ERA. Meanwhile, his peripherals are: 2.96 xERA, 3.00 FIP, 3.00 xFIP. That's exactly where he was last year when he finished 5th in Cy Young balloting.
