Maybe it was batting against minor league pitching

Certainly possible but he was a high average guy with 10-15 HR upside and now he hits in the low .220s with his value all tied up in his power.

Burnes would be out of this game if they weren't trying to get him the win,

Burnes has gone over 100 pitches in like 7 of his last 8 starts, and he's better than just about everyone in the bullpen.  He's good for another batter or two.

I don't like stressing him with over 100 in just 5 innings.

Charlie Blackmon looks like his parents were Ted Kazinsky and one of the characters from Tumbleweeds.

With epic beard comes epic responsibility.

Tonight’s the difference between Corbin and virtually every other pitcher on earth. Had his “D-“ stuff today and still went 5 innings 2 runs to preserve a one run lead….

He’s, uh, pretty good at baseballing.

Sweet. Took all of 2/3rds of an inning to screw Corbin out of another win.

To me, that's kind of the point with this team. Pitchers must be perfect because offense, well, you know.

It’s why I don’t believe they win the division.  Cardinals aren’t very good either but I feel they’ll end up winning it.  Sure hope not.

It would help if they could get a run without needing a HR.  2 HR leading to 3 runs so far.  I guess we just need another HR to score because waiting for a run any other way is a close second to hoping Yelich can outhit his Marlin days.
