Well, he has been very efficient in the leadoff spot.

Who would you prefer to bat leadoff?

Where should Yelich bat in the order instead?

I'm talking strictly DHing, and so far he's done nothing today.

  • I see Yelich is DH, which he does once in a while, and that's fine. But someone plz explain to me why he's batting 1st. That doesn't make any sense to me. A typical CC stupid decision maybe??

I'm not sure what you are against here.  Yelich as DH batting leadoff, or Yelich batting leadoff in general.

If it upsets you that he is at DH and hitting 1st, that makes no sense at all.

If it upsets you that Yelich is hitting 1st because he is hitting 1st, that makes no sense at all either.  Have you been watching this team the past month?  Since he started hitting leadoff, he is actually valuable to this team offensively.  Not hitting homers anymore, but getting on base a LOT.

I fail to see the relationship of fielding status vs. batting order number.

Maybe you have a point, but I am not seeing it.

Why can't a player who is DHing lead off? It's allowed.

Puzzling isn't it?

Imagine screwing up twice at your job, and then toss the guy that calls out your screwup. Don't worry though, it's within 2 inches of the plate he'll get a positive grade for it.

I can't stand these freaking umpires throwing players and managers out. It needs to stop in all but the most extreme cases. Umpire egos don't need to be a part of baseball...

Yeli needs to get the bat off his shoulder with 2 strikes ... stop hoping and start hitting!

The ump made decent calls in my opinion.

Nice to see some fire from Yelich.  He has such a vanilla personality, I wasn't aware that he actually gets pissed off on occasion.

They were close, my gripe is moreso with the player getting tossed than the calls. It's crap. I'm sick of it happening in baseball in almost all cases. All these umpires must be overcompensating for something...

This is right where the Pirates turned a deficit into a lead the last time Woodruff faced them.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

These umps don't get paid near what these players are getting paid, AND if they are getting cussed at, I think the ump should throw the player/coach/manager out of there!

Does anybody chew out and cuss at the players when they mess up on the field or are perceived as messing up?  Hardly ever!  So why should the ump have to endure that sort of thing?  They shouldn't!

The players/managers need to stop acting like prima-donas!

I saw this game a couple of weeks ago.

Woodruff takes a lead into the 7th and quickly puts 3 men on.

Then Boxberger comes in to give up the lead and the Pirates win 4-3.

The team is imploding without Hader and I don't think its a coincidence. The players were very upset that we gave away and yes they gave the best reliever in baseball away and they have played like it.
