"Supposed aces"? You don't believe Burnes and Woodruff are aces?

I’d like to see them pitch 6 or 7 scoreless innings once in awhile because that’s what it often takes to win with this team.

We’ll have to wait for another day to see that as Woodruff looks like he’s headed for another 5 inning outing like his last one.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

94 on that fastball to Happ.  A good pitch on the edge of the zone, but not the 97/98 that you expect from Woodruff.  Hopefully he isn't battling a minor injury or the hand numbness again.

Our pitching is overrated

Rough first inning for Woodruff but we have 4 very good starters and some good relievers. The offense is atrocious and we have been a bad defensive team all year.

You're hard to please. Before his last outing against the Dodgers, Woodruff went 6/7 quality innings in 6 out of his last 7 starts....

And if you don't think that Burnes is an ace, then you don't know baseball. Literally the best pitcher in baseball since 2020.

Let's face it: this has been a horrible series.  The Cubs are an intriguing group of young talent.  Tenacious.  I really have to give it to them.

Actually the cubs are pretty bad but we are worse.

Here BA goes again. Hiura has always hit righties better. Why does he act like this is a first.

Right? How can he not know that?

Typically punishes lefties. I swear I'm growing to hate BA.

Straight up lying to cover for CC. Hiura has had dramatic reverse splits his whole career. Disgusting. Hope they drop BA after the season.

Great decision to play Hiura today, CC.

Totally putting him in a position to fail only facing lefties. I would play him every day the rest of the season regardless of who is pitching but not letting Keston face righties is so stupid.

Because he spends more time calling other games/sports than he does Brewers games.

I have no idea. And since he says it every game he faces a lefty, can't somebody point out the error of his ways?
