According to Counsell he read Freddy's body language and decided he was done. No lie.

Then he needs new contacts.

If you can't enjoy a playoff race where the outcome is not yet known, you might want to find something else to do with your September.

Yeah, they're flawed & imperfect.  They also still might make the playoffs.  You decide if that's enough for you

Ulice Payne the guy from like 19 years ago, like quit literally on the Brewers. He quit. The guy you represent and share names. That guy. Snubbed and quit on this organization. No mas. He then milked the team for 2.7 million in a buyout of his contract with like five years still on it.
These posters are venting after a tough loss. They are Brewers fans. We are giving games away against awful teams and we should all be angry.

With Burnes, Woodruff, and Peralta if this team makes the playoffs anything can happen.

Look at the Dodgers rotation. Does Tyler Anderson, Andrew Heaney, Julio Urias, and Tony Gonsolin scare you?

Since they get to face the Brewers sure.

I can't believe the defeatist attitudes here. Sad!

What I can't believe is you are a serious account. You have troll written all over you.

I will say this as a fan we should hope that things go ahead and bottom out at this point. No sense messing around pretending. Just start the tear down. The longer they wait the less they get back for the few assets they have. Play the youngsters. All rookie outfield next year is a start. Feliciano behind the plate. Turang at second. Get what you can for Burnes and Woody, Meet you all back here in 2025.

This is sad but it’s right. The future could be pretty awesome guys. The haul for Burnes and Woodruff would be massive. Chourio on the horizon. Frelick, Mitchell, Ruiz, Wiemer, Turang. At least a few will pan out. Time for the Yelich era to be over. A sunk cost. Better to acknowledge it sooner than later.

Good pitching wins over good hitting.

Balanced baseball wins games. We're not balanced. We had amazing pitching last year and we lost our series 3-1 because our offense was embarrassingly putrid (6 runs in 4 games is comedy). Good pitching and teams that can situationally hit win in the playoffs. All or nothing teams don't.

Haha; I'm glad someone finally caught the reference!

We should ALL be angry?  All of us?  Go ahead & be angry if you want; the rest of us are enjoying baseball

You must also enjoy watching grass grow.

Please don't include me, and I suspect the majority, in saying we are enjoying this brand of baseball right now.

When I get irritated at the grass, I stop watching it.  I don't look for ways to spread misery online

Maybe they make it, maybe they don't; but it's going to be a good race to the end.

It's a manufactured race, not a real postseason race.  If they let 24 teams in and the Brewers sit 15 games below .500 but only one game out, is that a good race?  During the best system they would be 6 games back of the division and postseason in a bad division right now.  You would not be particularly happy with that.

Comparing it to the Herb Kohl Bucks is pretty accurate as the NBA system is awful and nobody cares about making the last couple playoff spots.

There is nothing enjoyable about watching this team hit the baseball. Sure, chicks love dingers but I'd prefer the occasional ability to situationally hit. Far too many wasted opportunities from this offense due to their inability to do the little things.

The best long term thing that could happen right now might be losing 12 out of 18 so they can jettison guys that wont be back anyways and get a look at the youngsters.

With how bad the CF, 2B/3B has been this month, there's really no reason not to give Turang and one of Ruiz, Mitchell, Frelick or Wiemer a shot. Taylor isn't an every day player and Urias hasn't proven he's an everyday guy either. Wong probably isn't back next year either so there should be plenty of ABs for Turang if we want to move him up.

Until I watched only the last two innings of this game I hadn't watched a game in a week, and I have no qualms turning a game off to go to bed for the night. The best thing I can say about the entertainment value of this team is at least it isn't the 2020 team.

Losing games we used to win… close battles. Maddening. At least we ended it with Hiura on the bench. Craig got what he wanted.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell (the first sentence). If this was one of the recent seasons, they fail to get much out of the first three innings' opportunities, but find a way to get at least one run in. And the HR in the 7th inning is a solo because we make a play leading off the inning that a high schooler should make. 2022 is something very different. Finding ways to lose, no matter what aspect of the team it takes.

Hiura being taken out is something a lot of Mgrs would do in the same situation. A little more questionable since it was tied & not trailing, but there's still some logic there. I look at it this way: if he had it in for Keston Hiura he would have every excuse to never give him a start at second base. This team is still predicated on run prevention & not scoring runs consistently makes that even more important. Frustrating, I know.

I'll let you guys continue pissing in your own Cheerios. I have some Shiner Bock to drink...

Yes, understanding the state of the franchise is pissing in our Cheerios and you're not being a homer whatsoever. You're right, we and the record over the last 74 games are wrong.

Bingo! Someone finally gets it. Sports is not about winning. It’s about $$ and taking that money from the fans. Winning only matters to the fan.

I'm personally a big fan of that brewery.  The bock is good, but the Sea Salt & Lime, Weiss & Easy, Ruby Redbird, Strawberry Blonde, Light Blonde, and S'Mores are fantastic.  I see they have a Toasted Amber - going to go and look for that this weekend.  If the Bonfire Brewskis is a variety pack, I'll be grabbing every one on the shelf.
