That is why Wiemer and Turang are everyday players.  Holy smokes.

Wiemer’s hitting will have him riding the bus at AAA pretty soon.

He's leading the league in defensive runs saved...Obviously that's a ridiculously fuzzy stat a dozen games into the season, but the eye test is there.  He doesn't have to be great with the bat....especially if he is taking his walks.

Collin Rea is headed to San Diego from Nashville.  His Uncle, a former coworker of my wife, provided the scoop this morning.

Not a very inspiring choice, didn't pitch too well when we saw him the last weekend of the season a couple of years back. Would be nice if he had some smoke and mirrors for a couple of starts but he has been around long enough where it is probably one and done.

Makes sense. Demote best defensive OF in baseball by stats currently due to his bat which I don't believe has batted higher than 8th in the order.

So in small sample size so far…….if the goal was to strike out less and put the ball in play more…….last season k percentage was 23.9

this season…..26.2

still very early obviously……..

Is it too early to say the game is more or less on the line right now??

It's the 7th inning, of course not.

If you are going to hit like a pitcher, yes, you should get demoted. He shouldn’t get demoted tomorrow…but if he doesn’t start looking competent at the plate Tyrone Taylor is a better option when he is healthy.

Hopefully he breaks out of his slump soon and can stay.

I swear if Yelich looks at a called strike 3 down the middle...I'm going to sit here and piss and moan about it.

How about a rolling it over to the right side?

.250/.341/.389 with a 98 wRC+ is not "hitting like a pitcher", especially when he's providing the stellar defense he currently is. Basically a league average bat after 2 weeks in the big leagues, that's a solid start.

That isn’t going to be overturned.

I can’t believe Adames didn’t get down there faster.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

These announcers suck. They made that play seem like a complete joke of a call.

Its clearly out and the right call.

I thought it was reeeeeally close, but certainly not a no brainer to overturn.

Clearly out?
