I could see the Brewers getting a sweep... just because...

Hopefully my depression can go away.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

This is MLB.TV's free game of the day.  If you live outside of the Brewers and Dodgers TV area then you can watch today for free on MLB.TV.

Hope we get a big win today. Dodgers got into Milwaukee early this morning so they might be a bit groggy/tired today and Gonsolin is making his 3rd start of the year.

We were supposed to attend this game but can't.  So if the Brewers win, maybe we're the problem.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Luckily for me I'm in what's considered the Dodgers TV area, even though there is no way to watch the Dodgers on my TV with my cable package.  Off to a sportsbook for the game...

Of course he Dodgers have resuscitated Jason Heyward...

Which is funny because Bellinger looks good again in Chicago (although he's wildly overperforming his peripheral numbers)

This has just become my thing to complain about, but they really need to stop lighting the fireworks when the roof is closed because it makes the viewing product on TV absolutely awful because of the haze.

Robots please.

If you’re talking about that 3-2 pitch, that was far from a clear strike.

If that had been called a strike against a Brewer hitter there would have been complaints about that too.

A pitch is either in the strike zone or not and that pitch was in the strike zone.

It was a strike. A strike is a strike.

I mean its never been that way in the history of the sport.  A very borderline pitch is sometimes a strike and sometimes not.

You’re assuming that the graphic on TV is a precisely accurate depiction of the strike zone. When a stitch on the ball is barely touching that line it might not really be in the zone.

What about after that last pitch to Yelich?

Proving my point.

I’m in favor of automated balls and strikes too assuming that they can be made at least as accurate and consistent as the umpires. I just choose not to tie myself in knots crying “Robots” every single game.

I certainly think its accurate in width but the height of the zone changes with every hitter and I dont think the TV zone is always properly adjusted.

Also, that's the sort of technology that's going to be used starting next year. Bottom line is the strike zone is what it is according to the rules and the ump shouldn't be free to decide whatever he wants whenever he wants. Automated strike zone will achieve that. Will that lead to some unusual-looking strikes? Yes. But it's the rules...

It often seems to be too low to me. Some times it looks to be barely at, if not below, the hitter’s waist.
