So what is the point when we send Wiemer down; maybe when the average hits .150?

I think they are waiting for Urías. Already rehabing in Nashville so it shouldn't be long

While he may hit better than Wiemer anyone thinking Urias is going to be some kind of a magic solution to this team's hitting is going to be sorely disappointed.

He is mechanically flawed as anybody else in this lineup.

I'm Thoroughly convinced a big chunk of the problems with the hitting on this team is systemic and starts at the top.

Oh yeah absolutely. Im only saying thats what they are waiting for to send Wiemer down. I am expecting Urías to hit 210

What does Urias have to do with Wiemer being sent down?  If we drop Wiemer, who is left to play the outfield?  We don't really have a replacement for him unless that means that Anderson moves to RF permanently, while Urias is our every day 3B.

Gross.

This team is nothing more than an offensive black hole, and we continue to do this year in and year out.  Sign a bunch of wanna be, never were, has beens off the scrap heap that no one else wanted, then be all surprised that it doesn't work.

So frustrating.

Anderson RF

Urias 3B

Absolutely sucks? Yep. Alternative? None. Or do you want Perkins back?

My hope is that Burnes starts pitching like an ace so we can get a great return for him.

Given the expanded playoff it's very unlikely that this happens and the Brewers fall out of the race.  They would need an incredible amount of other things to go wrong.  Even as bad as things seem right now, they're still a first place team and coming into today 4 games over .500.  They are not all that close to being sellers.

I didn't see the foul ball that flew into the dugout.  Did Adames get hit in the head/face?

You couldn’t see it on TV and if they have it on a different camera they didn’t show it.

But, the JSOnline report says he was hanging over the dugout railing (as he often is) and was hit in the side of the head.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I sure would have thought a first round draft pick would have had better stuff than Small.

He sucks, he was a pick near the end of the first round where it’s a crap shoot. but he’s  just not a big league pitcher.

At the time he was drafted there was some room for optimism on his stuff getting better the further he got beyond recover from a TJ surgery he had as a sophmore at Miss St....doesn't really appear that the stuff/velo improved and thus far he's proving to be a AAAA-caliber arm unless he can develop a better breaking ball to pair with his changeup to keep hitters more honest without just sitting on a very hittable fastball when it isn't located well in the zone.

First off, good luck to Adames & his diagnosis.

That being said, I really hated the way that Anderson & Schroeder leaned all over the incident. "It's just one game, flush it, it's easier to get past than a 2-1 loss".............all those things are true. But for whatever reason, mentioning how the game was "secondary" really bugged me. Because it was a rout made it sound more like an excuse to me. This is a close-knit group, and it obviously affected them. Understandable, but to this extent, not a good look from a major league team.

I doubt Urias is replacing Wiemer on the roster. They aren't scoring a lot of runs these days. If Anderson gets pulled from 3B permanently to play the OF, Miller has to play everyday due to his bat, AND Wiemer is taken out of CF, well, if you think they need to score more runs now, that need will only get worse.

Peralta isn't going anywhere re his rotation spot. However todays' performance leads me to say the same thing I said after his outing vs TB (which he won)----the man has a lot of growing up to do.

Strange thing about Small tonite, his most effective pitch was the inside fastball to LH hitters. He actually jammed guys 5 or 6 times. Not exactly his MO. Of course vs RHH it was batting practice.

People expecting a yard sale will be disappointed--that's my guess. But like all prospective deals, it depends on the return. They were in a playoff chase last year & dealt Hader. The old standard--also-rans trade vets for prospects, contenders do the opposite--isn't always followed. Just don't expect any adherence to the "They should sell, because it's a crappy division & they won't get to the WS even if they win it" philosophy (thank goodness).

The question should be the date when the Brewers end up in last place.

I guarantee you that the Cubs fans think their team is far worse than the Brewers fans think their team is.

This is the ownership group and FO MO.  I think this is part of the "bites of the apple" approach.

Criteria for the Ownership Group and FO that they look for in a players contract:

1. Are they cheap and only are exposed for 1 year?

2.Were they injured the year before to explain their lack of production?

3.Will this still allow MA to get some more baseball cards to complete his checklist?

4. Can they play 9 positions so that they give us roster "flexibility"?  Better to sign 6 players to make one average player.

I know this suggestion won't go over well but I would at least dangle Devin and see what someone would give up for him. Maybe Mr Met would be willing to trade us Baty in a package for him.

I think this is a good idea.  See what we can get in the marketplace.  No point having him if we don't have the roster.

Even if the Crew make it into the playoffs, you can tell other teams will just stack the rotation and bullpen with lefties in a short series.  Unless they figure out how to hit lefties.
