In the 11 games that the Brewers have played against teams that weee billed in some fashion as truly terrible teams, they are discouraging 4-7. That’s 0-3 against the Rockies, 1-2 against the Tigers, 3-0 against the Royals (who must really be terrible), and now 0-2 against the A’s. The team they have played with the next worst record is the Cardinals, against whom they have gone 3-3.

No further comment is needed because these results speak for themselves.

This comment ensures that the "positive stats" boys show up to prove you wrong...

I put the over/under on brewer runs today at 2.

That seems aggressive.

I'm going to say that at least taking a hack at called third strikes would be part of that equation.

I'm as far from being an analytics guy as you can get. So maybe I'll be allowed to point out that using Bruisedcrew's criteria, against teams that aren't terrible they're 30-24. Which isn't a "better" point, other than it illustrates the same thing--that this team doesn't play good baseball on a consistent basis.

Personally, I didn't have any more--or less--confidence going into this series than I did when they played Houston, Baltimore, NY, or Kansas City for that matter. The inconsistencies demand that sort of attitude. I've always said it isn't who you're playing, as much as how you're playing. Colorado played very, very well against us. The Mets, and to an extent Houston, played like crap. We've been lousy the last 2 days + 2 innings.

I've seen nothing to verify this is a "bad" team. Or a good one. The weirdest thing to me is that the jury is still out as you approach mid-June.

As for today, I see Joey Wiemer in his 4th different spot in the order in as many games. After he finally started heating up, that doesn't thrill me.

Any maybe not swinging at pitches clearly our of the zone.

The Brewers are on pace to strike out 18 times against lefty pitching.

I'm gonna guess they've struck out far more than 18 times against lefty pitching.

I really wish CC would have left weimer at the bottom of the order where he was.

Started to have some success and was getting pitches he could handle.

Now that you moved him up he's probably feeling more pressure to produce.

Let the rookie be where he was

Break out the brooms.

And while you’re at it, scratch Peralta off the list of ace pitchers.

Era is now up to a tidy little 4.83

To put it another way. The weather recently is terrible. But the forecast is TBD.

But we really need to beat these guys! Our batting is pathetic.
