I remember when Urias’ return was going to help the offense.

Instead he’s making Turang look good.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Lets see if they can get this run in now.

Sad that was even a question but then again, this offense is trash.

Sometimes ya gotta just giggle when innings go that badly.

I'm tired of laughing at these goofballs.

What else you gonna do?  I'm past the point of anything further than that emotionally.

What a rag arm in LF. Yelich wasn’t even at third yet when Joe fielded that, and he wasn’t that deep.

Peralta's baseball savant page: https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/freddy-peralta-642547?stats=statcast-r-pitching-mlb

Peralta still has elite stuff it is just that he is not placing his pitches correctly.  They are getting too much of the plate especially his fastball, changeup and curveball.  image.png.463f7427a8ae090ebf36afb338a386ec.png

Then you can also look at his babip and HR/FB:

I think I hate baseball now.  I went to law school to avoid all of this math!

I’m tired of hearing how great Peralta’s “stuff” is

At some point results are all that matter.

If results are all that matters then we must give him credit.  Final line is pretty good despite a couple of not so great innings.

I wish they would have dealt him after his one good year.

He was the exact same player last year. And he’s got what, 30 at bats on the season…

While they weren't huge drop offs he was down on pretty much every category from his 2021 season

My personal belief is he will never approach that 2021 season again without significant changes.

110 wRC+ and 2.3 fWR last year. 112 wRC+ and 2.1 fWARthe year before. That’s the exact same player. His counting stats were only down because he was on the IL to start the year.

The day that Tapia is DFA’d and Frelick gets his well-deserved callup will be a happy day.

If we DFA’d every player who can’t hit, we would have a hard time filling out the 26-man roster

Ironically - Yelich is really hitting well 🙌
