I'm not a fan of the concept, but this is far from the worst of the mlb team patches that have emerged to date.

I totally agree, its not that obtrusive and is blue, so it doesn't stand out like some patches (bucks - HD)

Yuck. But I hate uni advertising, it's not worth a couple million to me.

Here's screenshots: https://uni-watch.com/2023/09/15/ewww-brewers-become-latest-mlb-team-with-sleeve-ad/

I really don’t get this take.  It is a small arm patch that is barely noticeable and brings the Brewers (some) additional revenue.

We aren’t talking about soccer jerseys where they are plastered in ads and baseball teams have had arm patches for other things for a long time.

This doesn't look as bad as some of them. The blue matches at least. It would of been cool to have the white be yellow, but that probably doesn't go along with their branding guidelines. I get it.

Just hope they spend this money on the field or at the stadium, and stop whining about needing more money from us. Use it.

#1 if its 5 million dollars, that is a small portion of the 300 million needed in roof repairs.

#2 past politicians created the sweetheart deal where they get a stadium in the top 25% of all stadiums and the taxpayers are on the hook. Brewers aren't going to pay for repairs that they aren't responsible for.

It's not as obtrusive as some others, I'm speaking more generally. You could say the same thing about maker's marks too, but the cumulative effect is the cluttering up of the uniform. If you look at pictures from a few decades ago it's pretty noticeable.

It's also somewhat of a philosophical pushback on the pervasive plastering of advertising across every possible surface and eyeball.

Anyway, it's an opinion, we can disagree.

Do they put it on the left arm of RHB and right arm of LHB to provide "insurance" from getting hit in the arm with a pitch?

Not yet, but there will be more than just this one in the future, you can bet on that...

Yankees got $25 million for these:

Funny enough... I was just mentioning this to the wife last night.. seeing th ATP (pr whatever) patch on the Marlins sleeves, and how we don't have one.... spoke a day too soon 😪

It was ADT on the Marlins' sleeves, and to me those stuck out more like a sore thumb.

I was hoping for some keystone kop style defense from the Marlins this week, so we could laugh at the irony of their patch sponsor being a security company.
