There's some things not to like about the guy. I hope he keeps delivering.

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/josh-donaldson-beefs-with-former-jays-teammate-rowdy-tellez-upon-milwaukee-arrival-161005731.html

“He [Donaldson] came in the clubhouse and walked straight by, and I [Tellez] was like, ‘Hey, when you walk in the clubhouse, you introduce yourself to your teammates.’ And he goes, ‘Everybody knows who I am,’" Tellez said.

I wasn't thrilled with the signing because I had read about his clubhouse issues, but that sounds pretty funny.

EDIT: I just watched that part of the podcast. Talk about a terrible article. Rowdy gave that little tidbit with a grin on his face and then talked about how great Donaldson has been in the clubhouse, etc. I mean, do we think Rowdy would just come straight out and SERIOUSLY say that Donaldson was a jerk as soon as he got to Milwaukee? It's Rowdy - he jokes all the time. He was just being funny.

EDIT 2: Eric Kratz had a good burn on Rowdy. They told him if the Brewers wrap up the division today it will be great because the rest of the games won't matter. Kratz: "You'll get lots of playing time."

The upside view is that when you are winning, you can deal with people being irritating.  Stupid things get magnified when you are losing.

Now that we are at the end of the season with the playoffs looming, we must win to keep going.  Start losing and we go home.

It would be a totally different issue to deal with him the whole season.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Honestly this "controversy" is hilarious. So Donaldson walks in and his buddy immediately starts messing with him. And everyone gets a laugh about it?

One needs to be careful with fan-created media that is trying to draw clicks... (which I am writing on a fan-created media site LOL).

I'm assuming they knew each other in Toronto, and it was just sarcasm. Not news, move along. Sportsmedia sucks now.

Anyone else long for the days for SportsCenter on replay every morning from 5am-12 with Stu Scott and Rich Eisen giving us highlights to every game, every sport, no talking heads BS crap?

Yeah it's just ridiculous

Saw something this morning about Donaldson apparently forcing Rowdy to drink beers last night, and peer pressuring him (with an attached video of rowdy holding a can in each hand, chugging them). It's like people are looking to make him an asshat

No. It's just the New York media who bitterly resent him for what he did (or more like didn't do) for their precious Yankees. It's become a vendetta at this point.

Little do they know how complicit they are, particularly when star after star falters under the insane pressure in NY, only to go back to success somewhere else.

This is it right here and it's not just about Josh it's about anyone who's in the public eye. There are plenty of celebrities who do a fine job of making themselves look like horrible people but for those who don't you can be sure the media will find a way to make it happen.

And this is the same media that is arrogant enough to think that Craig Counsell might want to come to New York.
