Earlier in the year the Rockies or some reporter said that Ryan McMahon would be off-limits. I do think he would be a nice add that might not cost quite as much. He could play some 1st this year and then back to 3rd when we lose Willy. The amount he strikes out is a concern and getting a bat from Coors is always a risk.

I wonder if we start making some fringe roster trades over the next week or two as our 40 man and OF become crowded.

We’ll see if the Rockies change their mind:

Let say the Rays want to trade Randy A ( season stats look bad) but Since June 1,  he's hit .286 with a .868 OPS in 32 games. Arozarena's ability to get on base has also translated to more stolen bases, as he's swiped five bags in six tries in his last 17 games.

If we are in Win-Now mode, Would a Randy A / Fairbanks for Sal/Low end Prospect work?

I would guess that for 2.5 seasons of Arozarena and 1.5 seasons of Fairbanks, the Brewers would have to give up Sal, Blalock, and one of the Wisconsin pitchers.

Brent Rooker anyone? Dude is putting up some good stats. Power was there last year, but now little more contact.

With smaller trade - Mitchell and Brown

Of go Big and try to get Mason Miller - Miller and Rooker for Frelick/Pratt/Wichrowski - Dont even know if that is enough

I am not sure the A’s would have much if any interest in Mitchell.  I think you could center something around Brown.  I think Wiemer makes more sense for the A’s but he would be a throw in and not a major piece in the deal.  Something like Brown, a pitching prospect and Wiemer makes sense for Rooker.

Cooper Pratt?

Absolutely no thanks to that deal.

The A's are going to want a haul for Rooker and his 3.5 year of control. He would be perfect in our lineup, but my guess is that he would take Black, a top 10 caliber pitcher and position player. If he was a top notch 1st baseman I would have interest but as a below average LF I will pass.

The Arozenana/Fairbanks deal is interesting. I go back and forth with Arozeneana, for now I would be good with that deal. I think the Ray's would get more than Frelick and a mid level prospect. Fairbanks it comparable buy better than Hunter Harvey who got 2 nice prospects and Randy for Sal would seem fair. So I would have to be like Sal, Letson, and Boeve which would make me say more hesitant.

Not sure the A’s would want Black either.  I think they would be looking at AA prospects over MLB ready at this time.  If they get someone back who is MLB ready I think that would be a throw in piece.

Can you imagine being traded to the A's?  Seems like a cruel thing to do to our boys...

Rays would be the type of team to trade us Randy A for sure, but would they accept an offer of Perkins Wiemer Pegoura, and Blaylock?

No the Rays would not trade for 4 players on our 40-man roster....the Rays are judicial with their 40-man handling. They'd laugh you off the phone if you called them with that offer.

Doubtful they’d laugh off the phone since I’m on the staff with former tb exec Matt Arnold that did the Adames Rasmussen trade if we are talking semi reality

Also if you're going to continue to spam non-sensical trades multiple times a week please at least learn how to actually spell names. It's Peguero and Blalock not Pegoura and Blaylock.

I couldn’t edit my spells in time, but bottom line is an offer between Arnold and his former team with four valuable pieces offered presumably wouldn’t be “laughed off the phone”.   I feel a lot of middle school posters (not necessarily you). that are frequently responding…

I have seen AI tendencies from you.   I’ll monitor but you might be a AI always creating conflict.   I’m alert now though!

Can we get more trades of 4 guys with little value for someone that has value please?

Sure, I have another four for one for you post draft.   Ask and you shall receive…

Crochet and Kopech for Black, Boeve, Blalock, E Brown, lotto pitcher.

Our infield still looks rather full in the forseeable future even with Adames likely departure to afford to trade three infielders.   Hoskins likely picks up option and Wilken to third next year with Turang and Ortiz handling the middle infield.   Dunn and Monastario are our depth infielders next year and Luke Adams in AAA.

Guessing it might take another pitching arm in place of E Brown  though that we might be reluctant to give up.

I get that Kopech “used to be somebody” but the guy he is now has an ERA over 5 through 41 innings. He allows 1.8 HR/9 and walks 5 batters per 9 innings. He’s basically the worst pitcher on the worst team in baseball why would the Brewers want him.

Don't believe the Sox would sell Crochet for anything less than two Top 100 type guys, and with his years of control remaining and being the best SP on the market they might hold out for three.

Any proposal without at least two of Misio, Quero, Black and Pratt for Crochet alone probably doesn't get anywhere with Chicago.

Well, maybe a second or third (year ago)  top 100 prospect could get us there.   Ok drop Kopech to make the proposal easier.

How about Black, Mitchell, Wiemer, Brown, Blalock for Crochet.   A lot to give but out OF and IF still would sit pretty .   And reinforcements coming .

Crochet and Fedde for Black, Mitchell, Wiemer, Brown, Blaylock, C Rodriguez would also be worth looking into possibly.

I still have high hopes for Crod but don’t want to deal Henderson for sure.

Domingo German has opted out from Pittsburgh.  He's not great but was close to league average last year and would fill in as a decent gap starter.
