Not sure why people are so confused/turned off by Chapman's little smile. You've never seen someone smile (or done it yourself) in a negative situation before? It was like a "man, I can't believe he hit that" smile. Plus, they know each other. It's not like he was celebrating. Just one those "well, hell, what else can I do?" smiles.
