Levering: “Sanchez JUUUST missed that one” as the ball falls  10 feet short of the warning track

With or without the injuries this is more the rotation of a 90 loss team than a contender. Arnold added a decent number of bottom of the rotation starters but no one reliable at all. Its Freddy and a bunch of 5th starters.

And Freddy is a 3 himself

I switched to the radio audio using the MLB app

Disaster class for Chourio this series.

Hopefully Chourio eventually becomes the star that the team has bet on him being but as of today he is still a minor leaguer.

So a day of and the early part of this thread dedicated to the manager being the biggest moron ever for playing these guys and here we are so far with Monasterie 1/2 and a walk, Miller 1/2, Perkins 2/2 and a walk.    Probably just a reminder to chill on the negativity, baseball season is a long one so have to try to temper game by game overreactions

On a joking side, I'd guess there is only like 3 good managers in the world based on the standards here haha

Not to mention other teams realesed relievers that we picked up.

He would have benefited more from playing this season in Nashville

Thats exactly the problem. When we had Burnes and Woodruff it was great having Peralta as the 3. Now he is the ace and every other starter we have struggles to get through 5 innings. As much as the bullpen has been our strength its going to be a struggle by midseason when they are covering 4 plus innings nearly every night.

This feels more like a Doug Melvin type of team with the complete lack of good starting pitching. Makes you appreciate having a great top 3 of the rotation the last few years.

Hopefully Gasser ends up being a solid starting pitcher but without the swing and miss stuff his upside is most likely extremely limited.

extremely - he’s a 5 with little chance to go higher

This team seems to play a lot of bad baseball against some AAA level opponents.

Or is it the Brewers are the AAA team?

I would be walking Contreras and looking for the strikeout or 4 to 3 from Yelich.

I'd walk him as well and face Willie.

I never understood why we seemed so intent to rush him. It's not like he destroyed AAA last year and just had nothing left to develop there.

I would guess if he hadn't signed the long-term deal where there would still be reason to play the service time game, he'd still be in Nashville.
