I think part of it comes from success/expectation. If we had proven to be a 75 win team through the first half ... we would be hoping for competitive games and taking a game in LA? But we are a confident team that scraps and wins (thus far) as well as most any in baseball and the fan base feels it. So we feel like we should win this series ... and that disappointment shows through louder when the team or a player regresses both in moments and in stretches.
