The loss of Koenig has been noticeable. Maybe DL Hall can come in and fill his role?

The Brewers are arguably one of the best-run franchises in American sports over the last decade all things considered, so I won't log this as a complaint, but my gut feeling on this team is that it just isn't ever going to be good enough to really beat a couple a top dogs into October. They always win but when they have to go toe-to-toe with the elite it just seems like they can't quite get over the hump.

Murphy earlier this week - Hudson's body takes longer than most to recover so we need to be cautious with how we use him

Murphy these last two days - Uses Hudson on 2 days rest after throwing 36 high stress pitches and uses Hudson on 0 rest and 3 times in 5 days after he had looked bad in both previous outings.

That's just bad managing.

It's kind of like being a Badger basketball fan. You respect and admire the program they've built the last couple decades after years of being an afterthought while also having to accept that they're never going to be the team holding the trophy at the end of the season.
