Yeah, the Brewers got beat pretty good around the same time last year in Atlanta from 7/28-7/30 so quite the reversal. Of course we saw what happend to Atlanta last year in the playoffs so who knows.

That 14.0 WAR is more than half the teams in baseball (including all four in the NLC) have gotten from their entire position player group.

Only the Orioles with their redonkulous young core and the Yankees (buoyed by Juan Soto and his 6.8 WAR) have gotten more WAR from position players 27 or younger this year.

Sal Frelick wouldn't be a bad leadoff hitter either.

I'd keep Turang up top vs RHP for now despite his admitted struggles. But if they move away from him Frelick IMO is the best choice. Maybe Mitchell (someday) if he gets the swing-and-miss a little more under control.

I didn't research this so I might be wrong, but it seems like when Turang was hitting he was seeing a lot more pitches, going deeper into counts.

This is why I don't care about the Brewers minor league system plummeting to average according to websites. If we were ranking top organizations for talent under 26, the Brewers would be sitting pretty.

Yeah, I agree with how Murphy has often handled this. leadoff against righties, bat ninth versus lefties. Turang has a lot of two-hit games in him.
