Getting Williams back fresh for the stretch run is incredible.

Amazing deadline pickup without having to give up anything.

Fully expected it would take a few weeks of easing into closing for Devin.  With Megill's injury he had to go right away.  He's out there going through the heart of the order of the best teams in baseball every time.  That's incredible.

Couldn’t remember how we acquired Koening so I googled it.  Found the MLB TR article on the signing and they referred to him as a “soft tossing” lefty.  Apparently he wasn’t hitting 99 then…

Hey if anyone wants a nice view of what could be coming to the Brewers bullpen in the next few weeks take a look at Craig Yoho courtesy of Josh Norris.

Yeah his velo is way up this year. He put a lot of work in where he trains in the offseason to focus more on creating velocity from his whole body and it's definitely worked.

I'm benching his butt in both my fantasy leagues, so you can bet he throws a 6 inning gem, 8 K's, 0 runs...

You were rirght, you benched Peralta and though he threw a lot of pitches he only gave up 4 hits and 1 run. Keep doing it for the Brewer run to the playoffs.

Didn’t really throw that many pitches except for 1 inning……..could have pitched the 7th but Murph went with the horses to hold the lead.

I don't blame Murph, I thought Fred was at the end of his rope in shuch a close game.

Really wasn't that bad a location on the home run it was probably up out of the zone.

In a perfect world you'd like it a little higher, which is ironic cuz Freddie's been the King of the Uncompetitive Pitch w/2 Strikes all season. But yeah, Naylor getting on top of that was pretty impressive. Not a bad pitch at all.

The fact it wasn't a bad pitch is kind of what scares me about Freddy this year. Even when he's executing pitches well he's managing to give up HR which is a scary proposition to think about for the playoffs.

It's been obvious for a long time the recipe for a playoff run for this team largely includes bullpen success from a number of people, probably 4 or even 5 innings many games. In that vein what we saw last night from Mears, tonite from Koenig & the re-emergence of Payamps is such great news. And, I'd love to hear from Cleveland folks that follow the team regularly, how often Ramirez & J Naylor have looked that hogtied in back-to-back ABs like they were in the 9th. Very impressive.

Note to American League: You play the Guardians in the playoffs, don't be trailing after 6. Heck, maybe after 5. That's some kind of wicked pen talent/depth.

Yeah, it's been that kind of year for him. But in this case I think for the most part you gotta tip your hat to Naylor.
